How many of us experience fatigue during the day? if you are tired and need energy you can just take cocaine, right? Of course not. Everyone knows that cocaine is a terrible drug that does great harm – at GREAT cost to the body/mind/spirit.

In my lineage (Shaka Vansya Ayurveda or SVA), we believe that it’s a good idea to take the phrase ‘at what cost’ into consideration every time we decide to consume something that might be of question.

There are so many ‘potions and lotions’ available out there right now promising to do everything from giving us more energy to helping us lose weight to cure our acne. And many of them say they are natural and won’t hurt you in any way.

But is that really true? Perhaps the developers of these products believe it is true, but can they know for sure?

The phrase ‘at what cost’ is something my teacher and mentor, Vaidya Rama Kant Mishra used to say. It is one of the core tenets of my own healing practice. Will what I recommend for you result in side effects now or later on? If yes, then I won’t recommend it. Even if it gives great relief right now, I won’t take the chance on later damage and suffering. Why would I when I have the means to help so many conditions using products that only create healing?

It is easy to see that taking cocaine for energy is pretty dumb. But there are things that many of us are using, whether it be vitamins, herbs, nutraceuticals or even some foods, that make us feel better right now but are creating havoc.For example, we now know that eating seed oils are quite damaging to the body. But several years ago, seed oils were praised! We now know that butter is healthy, and that margarine is not. But our parents and grandparents ate margarine because the ‘research’ showed it was healthy. Modern research (along with the industries they are associated with) tells us that this and that are good for us. But then it is later discovered that many of these things are actually quite damaging.

I feel so fortunate to be in an ancient living lineage of health and healing that is thousands of years old. We know on the deepest levels of tissue the effects of foods and other items. And this knowledge and insight remains over millennia informing the latest fads.

So please don’t jump on the latest fads: there are so many time-tested remedies and methodologies that can truly restore balance and address chronic conditions….

BATHE TO DETOX?

Morning showers or bedtime baths are reinvigorating as well as relaxing activity for us. Sure: hot water running down our back in the morning, or soaking in an aromatic bath are very soothing and calming activities, but you probably did not know that they can be an even more powerful detox tool than ingesting any herbal supplement or detox protocol you will ever adopt. Bathing does so much more than relax your tired muscles or calm your mind. Specially when you use ayurvedic herbal pouches that have a targeted effect on your entire physiology. Hot water, steam, where herbs’ essences have been infused, have been therapeutically used since antiquity.

The Roman baths were famous for their therapeutic properties, coupled with elaborate detox protocols. Elaborate bathing rituals and therapies to heal and beautify were also common in ancient Greece. In Japan, traditionally, bathing has been part of ritual purification and the pursuit of spiritual purity. Turkish baths or “hamams” were a core element of daily rituals, and were combined with elaborate massage protocols.

But nowhere are the therapeutic health benefits of bathing better documented than in the texts of the ancient rishis of Ayurveda. The health benefits of bathing are elaborated – why to bathe, how to bathe, when to bathe, what materials to use in bathing, what temperature of water to be used for whom, even directions on when ‘not to bathe.’ Ayurveda talks about natural clay mixes for bathing and uses herbs and flower petals in the bath along with natural foaming and cleansing agents, like soap nuts (reetha). 100% natural cleansing materials are selected for their power to cleanse, nurture, soothe, and detox – ALL without any synthetic scents, colors, binders, or emulsifying agents.

Vitamins?

I listen to as many podcasts as I can and study modern nutritional research as much as my limited time allows. I like to keep up with the field of nutrition to make sure I stay up to date with the many advances made in this ever-changing discipline.

Fortunately, though, as I study what the leading nutritional experts have to say, I always have my Ayurvedic training as a backdrop so I can fill in any gaps in the knowledge that might be out there.

For example, I always feel a bit of a disconnect when it comes to the remedies which are recommended for healing the body. Many functional medicine practitioners, naturopaths and holistic doctors who use nutrition in their practices recommend numerous types of synthetic vitamins to their patients.

While these may have some benefit, there is really quite a difference between using food, herbs and spices which are grown in nature and vitamins which are synthetically made in a lab. So let’s examine how these may be different.

Behind the scenes in managing our health, Ayurveda concerns itself with unseen energies which are found outside of the body as well as inside our bodies and our cells, and even in the gaps between our cells. And if we want to heal ourselves in the deepest way possible we need to harness nature’s healing energy.

Vaidya Mishra re-enlivened the forgotten knowledge of the origin of the universe. Life as we know it began with the aditatwa, or the vibrational power of nature within the origin of the universe, which is eternal. This aditatwa then manifests to a vibration of “Ah” which transforms to the Om vibration. Om then creates three tatwas, known as Soma, Agni and Marut.

Soma is the lunar vibration from the moon, which is nurturing and cooling; Agni is the fiery energy of the sun which gives heat and produces transformation in the body; Marut supports the flow of Soma and Agni and determines how much Soma should be transformed into Ojas and Kapha.

The space element is the first element formed, the first material vibration of Aditatwa; then the air element is formed, which is kind of like the space element in action. The space element by itself can’t do anything, but the air element carries the space element. Then the fire element is formed out of the air element; this fire element next forms more dense water, which then forms the most dense element, the earth element.

Thus, the original 3 vibrations of Soma, Agni and Marut become 5 elements of space, air, fire, water and earth, and then when these elements come into our body they form Vata, Pitta and Kapha.

Vata represents the space and air element; Pitta is the fire element and Kapha represents water and earth elements. And it is these 3 elements which are behind the scenes controlling all the various functions in our bodies. But because they can’t be seen they are currently being missed in our discussions of what the body needs to heal itself.

All the herbs, foods and spices we ingest have Soma, Agni and Marut — they carry the vibration of Aditatwa which is how they create their various actions. So this is very important: pranic energy has to be there in all the herbs, spices and food in order for true healing to occur.

Ojas is the compound made by our bodies from the finest digestion of our food — once the food has nourished all 7 tissues, at the end of the 7th tissue Ojas is formed. Ojas is a life-supporting factor, and is semi-vibrational — it carries a lot of vibration connecting one organ to another organ, and is the connecting factor to everything inside and outside of the body. That is why Ojas is considered the “lamp at the door” — it gives light inside and outside of our bodies, and connects the outer universe to the inner universe inside our bodies.

Together these 3 energies, Soma, Agni and Marut make up Prana, our life-giving vibrational energy which comes into the body at the top of the head, through the nostrils, eyes, ears and mouth and goes down the spine through a vibrational channel known as the Shushumna Nadi. The Shushumna Nadi delivers this vibrational energy to all the organs and glands and cellular systems.

The herbs, spices and foods receive varying amounts of Soma, Agni and Marut as they grow out in the fields and it is this vibration that gets delivered into our bodies when we ingest them. For example, chili peppers contain lots of fiery Agni while zucchini and cucumbers contain more cooling Soma energy.

It’s important that whatever we take into our bodies has this intelligent vibration of nature. We now know that there is a lot of communication within the various systems of our bodies. We have just discovered the fact that the gut microbiome “talks” to the mitochondria and new feedback loops are being discovered all the time. The whole endocrine system has a dialogue which monitors the levels of circulating hormones and then signals are sent out to all the glands when more hormones are needed. The production of melatonin is increased when our pineal gland senses that the sun is going down. And like that hundreds if not thousands of pieces of information are being carried both throughout the cellular system and in the gaps between the cells where transformation takes place.

And how does the body actually “talk” or communicate with itself through these thousands of discussions? Through vibration. Through the Pranic energy delivering the Soma, Agni and Marut so that all the cells in our bodies can function through the direction of the newly transformed Vata, Pitta and Kapha inside of our bodies.

So it becomes imperative that whatever we take to heal ourselves contains this pranic energy. This vibration of nature. In fact, if we want to heal ourselves with “natural medicine” then the food needs to be grown in “nature.”

Supplements such as the various synthetic vitamin supplements on the market may have some effects, but we are beginning to discover that at the deepest level, the cellular system is being “dumbed” down by these “dumb” remedies, which is how we describe unintelligent synthetically made supplements, as well as processed foods, which contain less nutritional value and are devoid of pranic energy.

Which is why many of the new patients I see feel so much better when I tell them to stop taking many of their vitamin pills which were prescribed by their well-meaning physicians and practitioners.

Part of the paradigm shift that needs to occur in both modern medicine and what we perceive to be holistic medicine here in the Western world is that we need to break the habit of:

Isolating the active ingredients out of natural remedies and trusting that the whole remedy will work better at a deep cellular level in our bodies. So for example, instead of taking synthetically derived butyrate supplements we can trust that ghee (which contains high amounts of naturally occurring butyrate) will work much better without the side effects. We should drink warm goat’s milk to help heal the infections in our gut with the naturally occurring caprylic acid found in the milk. This is much better than taking a supplement of caprylic acid to kill infection since killing in the gut is not always the best idea since you invariably will also kill the friendly bacteria which is why you got the infection in the first place. In the same way, isolating the ascorbic acid out of the citrus fruit is bound to have some side effects, such as creating acidity in the cells. Ayurveda extensively uses the Amla berry which is loaded with Vitamin C but creates instant alkalinity upon entering the body. Our cells need to be alkaline in order to function smoothly. And we’re not isolating the Vitamin C out of the Amla berry but instead keeping it intact with all the other nutrients located within the berry for a more balanced approach to healing the cells. Lately it has been shown that people who are taking biotin for hair, skin and nail problems are developing false readouts of hyperthyroidism, specifically Grave’s Disease, on their blood workups for the thyroid gland. So while biotin may help hair and nail growth, it seems to have an unintelligent side effect since it is an unintelligent nutrient.

2) We have to break the habit of thinking that just because something is good for us it doesn’t necessarily mean that more is better. Flooding our cells with a nutrient just because we’ve studied that it is beneficial won’t necessarily create good health as the cell may lose its balance of nutrients. For example, high copper levels can create extreme nervousness in the patient. Most of the vitamin supplements contain levels of vitamins that are much higher than those found in the original food. Is it good to go against nature like this?

3) Underlying most of the diseases we experience are problems associated with the flow and delivery of pure prana to our cells. And again, prana comes from the vibration of nature— from the sun, the moon, and the delivery of that prana to our cells. This is why the ancient systems of healing such as Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine use the pulse to analyze the patient’s health — in the pulse you can feel these energetics — the flow of the prana, the balance between Vata, Pitta, Kapha and their subdoshas (the areas of the body they affect). These can’t be seen on an MRI or Cat Scan. So by overlooking the role these energies play in keeping the body running smoothly, we are effectively missing out on a big piece of that person’s total healthcare, preventing a full cure. For example, if your thyroid gland is weak because your Vata is too high, you will only gain minimal healing of the gland whether you use pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals or even our Ayurvedic herbs if you don’t learn what Vata is and how to keep it balanced in your body.

We must therefore take into consideration the vibrational in all of our healing modalities since underlying this physical body and all its ailments is a disruption in the energy pathways that make up and control the physical body.

So to reiterate, the root of all health problems begin at a vibrational level, and if let go will eventually lead to the more physical ailments which give us all the symptoms and diseases we experience in much the same way that the physical universe manifests out of vibration which ultimately expresses itself as more and more dense earth elements.

Many people report to me that they take vitamin supplements because their diets are lacking, that they don’t have the time to cook. Food has been shown to have thousands of phytonutrients and to think we can isolate them out of the food to make these synthetic supplements at doses much higher than found in nature is not good thinking and won’t necessarily give us the health we are looking for.

Instead, please try to figure out how to cook at home as much as you can using wholesome ingredients choosing from a wide variety of foods so you can maximize your nutritional intake. This is what our ancestors did and the human race was built on food growing outside in the fields. When you eat real food you’re not consuming single nutrients but rather a whole range of vitamins, minerals, co-factors and enzymes and fibers that allow for optimal use by the body. Without these additional factors found in the whole food, synthetic nutrients are unlikely to be used by the body in the same way as their natural counterparts. For example studies show that natural Vitamin E is absorbed twice as efficiently as synthetic Vitamin E. Here’s some research proving that synthetic vitamins have side effects:

A study that included data on 35,533 healthy men found that Vitamin E supplements significantly increased the risk of prostate cancer.
A review of 49 studies found that supplementation with Vitamin A was associated with a 16% higher risk of cancer.
Beta carotene supplements have been shown to significantly increase the risk of lung cancer in people who smoke.
A review of 42 studies found that while calcium from food sources did not increase the risk of heart disease, calcium from supplements might increase heart disease and heart attack risk.
Unlike the natural folate found in food, folic acid from supplements has been associated with an increased risk of prostate cancer.

One thing that you’ll notice when you read these studies is that there is a higher incidence of specific types of cancers when one ingests synthetic vitamins. Why? Because there is no intelligent vibration in these supplements. When we take in dumbed down or dead nutrients the cells get confused. And what is cancer? The cells can’t remember what they’re supposed to do because they lose their intelligence and start to do odd things, like growing out of control into tumors. This is exactly what we mean by lack of intelligence creating unintelligent cells.

Whenever groups of people are examined by teams of scientists because they live to be over 100 years old, it is always found that they are eating foods originating from the earth, not processed food devoid of pranic energy. They are drinking milk directly from the cows or the goats — not ingesting synthetically made coffee creamer, skim or powdered milk. And you can bet these centenarians aren’t taking large doses of synthetically made vitamins.

Busting the Cholesterol Myth

It will take several generations before we get it out of our minds that cholesterol clogs our arteries. There has been so much research that has been done since the early flawed study from Ancel Benjamin Keys back in 1953, in which he incorrectly asserted that cholesterol clogs our arteries.

Since then, study after study, too numerous to mention here, has shown that lowering cholesterol has very little to do with lowering our risk of heart attacks.

The Lyon Heart Study from France demonstrated how changes in the diet and lifestyle were able to reduce deaths by 70% and to reduce cardiovascular deaths by 76%, all without lowering cholesterol at all.

The Nurses’ Health Study which analyzed 84,129 women and published in the New England Journal of Medicine found that 82% of heart attacks were attributable to 5 factors, none of which had anything to do with with high cholesterol levels. Factors such as avoiding smoking, alcohol, working out for at least a half hour a day, maintaining a healthy weight and eating a wholesome low-glycemic (low sugar) diet with fiber and plenty of omega-3’s (or good fats).

Researchers in Japan divided people into 3 groups, those with low cholesterol, those with cholesterol in the normal range and those with high cholesterol. Surprisingly those with the highest levels of cholesterol lived the longest and those with the lowest levels had shortened lifespans.

When Americans were consuming whole full-fat foods such as cream, butter, and raw milk from pasture-raised cows, the rate of heart disease was a fraction of what it is now. In fact, once we became afraid of cholesterol and banned these items from the diet in favor of vegetable oils, hydrogenated fats and trans fats such as margarine and Crisco, that’s when the levels of obesity, diabetes and heart disease skyrocketed.

So if cholesterol in general isn’t the culprit, what does clog our arteries?

Well, let’s back up a bit and look at how we test to see if we’re at a risk for heart disease. Blood work is ordered where they measure the total cholesterol, the HDL’s (which are considered the good guys) and the LDL’s (which are considered the bad guys), all of which they say increases our risk for cardiovascular disease.

Since we began looking at these parameters decades ago, new research has proven that this approach is no longer relevant and is actually incorrect. To see why, let’s first learn a little more about cholesterol and how important it is to help build our cell walls, nourish the nerve tissue and brain, and supply the raw materials for our adrenal and sex hormones.

First, cholesterol cannot travel in the bloodstream by itself. This is because it is hydrophobic, which literally means water (hydro) and avoiding (phobic). To move cholesterol through the blood stream you need to put it into a container which can transport it around. The container that the body uses to transport cholesterol is called a lipoprotein. We might call these lipoproteins “cholesterol” but in fact cholesterol is only a portion of the cargo that these lipoproteins carry around the bloodstream.

There are high density lipoproteins (HDL’s), low density lipoproteins (LDL’s), Intermediate density lipoproteins (IDL’S), and very low density lipoproteins (VLDL’s) that carry the cholesterol around.

As of now, 10 types of HDL’s and 13 types of subfractions of cholesterol have been identified. We can no longer think in such general terms as the LDL’s are the bad guys. It turns out that some of them are very light and fluffy and actually protect the arteries. It’s only the smaller, denser oxidized LDL’s which can dig into the arterial walls and start a whole inflammatory process that ultimately creates plaque.

So let’s back up a minute to discuss the artery wall, which is called the endothelium. The inside of the walls of your arteries are smooth muscle that expands when the heart beats. In other words the arteries are not stiff and hard but elastic and flexible.

The innermost layer of the artery walls is called the endothelium and this is where the damage is done which can lead to a heart attack.

Let’s also discuss what inflammation and oxidation means. Then we can pull all these puzzle pieces together so you can understand how plaque forms.

Inflammation results when you have an injury or an infection in an area — the immune system cells come to protect your body, and as the immune system cells are released in the area they create inflammation, which usually goes away after the injury or infection. But when inflammation becomes chronic then it can cause big problems such as diabetes, arthritis, cancer, respiratory diseases, pneumonia, chronic liver and kidney diseases and…heart disease.

One of the main causes of inflammation is oxidation. Metal which is rusting or an apple which turns brown once it is sliced are both examples of oxidation. Atoms have electron pairs which orbit around them, but every so often one of the electrons get loose. The atom with the unpaired electron, known as a free radical, can inflict enormous damage upon your cells and DNA as they frantically search for an electron they can pair with again. The free radicals that come from oxygen, known as oxygen free radicals are the most deadly and damaging kind.

Antioxidants such as vitamins, minerals and many plant chemicals help to neutralize the free radicals limiting the damage they can do to your body. Squirting lemon juice on the apple slices to prevent them from browning is an example of an antioxidant, which comes from the Vitamin C contained within the lemon juice.

Now, back to the endothelium. It is just one cell thick. If your LDL becomes oxidized it becomes highly reactive and can damage the artery wall by burrowing into the wall and creating inflammation. The non-oxidized LDL just travels through the bloodstream not bothering anything, and is harmless.

So again, the LDL floats around in the bloodstream delivering cholesterol to the cells that need it. But some of the LDL that’s damaged by oxidation infiltrates the endothelium or the wall of the artery which begins the process of inflammation.

Once the immune system notices this damaged oxidized LDL, it sends cells known as monocytes to the scene releasing chemicals called cytokines, many of which are highly inflammatory. This causes the lining of the blood vessels (the endothelium) to secrete sticky little molecules called adhesion molecules that act like glue. If inflammation isn’t stopped in its tracks they’ll release a whole new set of toxins into the walls of the artery, eventually causing what is known as the fatty streak because it is a streak of yellow inside the artery wall which vascular surgeons can actually see during their operations on the arteries. The body tries to contain this fatty streak by building a wall to hold it in. If the cycle is not stopped the fatty streak grows into what is known as plaque. At this point a blood clot might develop to contain everything or calcium could deposit into the affected area.

You don’t need to memorize all these steps, but by now you should be able to glean from this information that it isn’t the amount of cholesterol which is the important number to note, but the types of particles you are harboring.

We need to change the testing of cholesterol from one where we are only looking at the total cholesterol, the HDL, and the LDL’s to one which looks at the actual types of LDL particles and if they are oxidized or not. Some of the forward thinking cardiologists are looking at the very small density LDL’s as these are the ones that are usually prone to oxidation and can burrow into weakened areas of the endothelial lining.

Other tests which might be important are dividing your triglycerides by the HDL cholesterol. A number of 3 or greater could be more of a predictor of heart disease than just the cholesterol numbers.

Some are looking at the fasting insulin tests and your insulin resistance because it is felt that sugar plays a large role in developing heart disease since it adds to the stickiness of the LDL’s.

The state of the art test for cholesterol is the NMR particle test, also known as the NMR Lipo-Profile. This test doesn’t just tell you how much HDL and LDL you have, it tells you what kind of LDL. It identifies how many of the LDL particles are small and dense, which are capable of causing plaque, and how many are big and fluffy and far less damaging.

Testing for C-Reactive Protein (CRP) is another test you might want to get since CRP is a marker for inflammation that is directly associated with heart and cardiovascular health.

Also test for fibrinogen. Fibrinogen is a protein that determines the stickiness of your blood by enabling your platelets to stick together. You need good levels of fibrinogen to stop bleeding if you’ve been injured but you don’t want the levels to be too high since it could affect both the circulation of your blood and could create unwanted clotting if the levels are too high. Normal levels are between 200 and 400 mg/dL.

And you might not realize that testing ferritin is also important. This is because while we want sufficient levels of iron to prevent anemia, believe it or not if the iron levels get too high it could create problems. This is because iron is very susceptible to oxidation. Iron metal when left in the rain rusts very quickly. In other words, it oxidizes. This is usually more of a problem in men since women lose a lot of iron each month with their menstrual cycles, but it is something post-menopausal women should take a look at. That’s why you should never take supplemental iron or even multivitamins with iron unless your blood work shows an iron deficiency. A 1992 study by Finnish researchers who examined ferritin levels in 1,900 men demonstrated that those with high levels of ferritin were more than twice as likely to have heart attacks than those with normal levels.

Another good test to get is the calcium score test which is basically a CT scan of the arteries. It will tell you if you have any plaque build-up in the walls of your arteries and exactly how clogged they are. But keep in mind, if they are clogged the latest research shows that statin drugs don’t actually unclog the arteries. All they do is lower cholesterol. In my practice we have three powerful treatments for scrubbing out the arteries which have proven to be highly successful when our patients retest their arteries with another calcium score test after their treatments.

There are other tests your cardiologists may decide to run, such as homocysteine, Interleukin-6, F2 Isoprostanes, myeloperoxidase (which measures inflammation and the tendency to form plaque), oxidized LDL, the PLAQ test which measures how likely the plaque is to rupture, the 9p21 test which measures susceptibility to inflammation and the KIF-6 test, a genetic test which if found, dramatically increases the risk for coronary heart disease.

As you can see, there are a lot of new tests out there, and it’s up to your cardiologist to see which tests are right for you. I am mentioning these here to show you all the recent advances in the field of coronary artery disease and to point out the fact that testing just total cholesterol, LDL, HDL and triglycerides is very antiquated and tells us very little we need to know about whether or not we are a candidate for a heart attack.

But most important of all is how do we minimize the oxidation of the LDL’s in the first place? Well, that’s easy for us as we have always recommended these guidelines in Ayurveda: avoid cigarette smoking, pesticides, too many pharmaceuticals and processed foods. Too many toxins traveling through the liver can heat it up and if it becomes hot and angry it can oxidize the foods you eat instead of processing them in the usual way. Which means that even good foods can become toxic to the body and initiate an inflammatory response. This is why I use several herbs in my practice to cool the heat in the liver, clean it out, and regenerate the liver cells so that the liver becomes more intelligent and doesn’t oxidize the food when it comes into the body. This is also why we teach the patients a healthy diet and teach them how to do correct Ayurvedic cleansing to keep the level of inflammatory toxins down.

One of the ironic things is that the very oils which doctors told us to eat because they contain no cholesterol such as the vegetable oils, margarine, trans and hydrogenated fats, are responsible for causing heart attacks since they form a compound very close to plastic which can clog our arteries and damage our liver very quickly. And even more ironically, ghee, or clarified butter, which has always been highly recommended in Ayurvedic medicine, and is pure cholesterol, prevents plaque buildup in the arteries.

And here’s another big one: Avoid refined white sugar. Sugar is sticky which can gum up the works and damage the artery walls. Plus if you eat too much sugar your insulin constantly goes up to try to lower the sugar in the bloodstream. Normally your insulin takes the sugar out of your blood and deposits it in the muscle tissue. When you exercise and move your muscles your muscles will use the sugar thereby keeping the blood sugar low. But if you are sedentary most of the day, the sugar remains there in the blood and after a while your muscles can no longer hold any more sugar. So they resist the insulin’s efforts to deposit the sugar into them. This is called insulin resistance and as a result your blood sugar goes up as it now has nowhere to go. High blood sugar also causes inflammation in the lining of the arteries which is why diabetics can easily develop heart disease.

So we have these two big issues: oxidation and inflammation, and insulin resistance and high blood sugar, both of which cause stickiness in the blood.

Please learn how to change your diet, take good care of your liver, eat healthy fats, limit your exposure to sugar and other chemicals, and learn how to detox. By doing so you should be able to avoid plaque buildup as you age. And remember, it’s not the amount of cholesterol, but whether or not you are oxidizing the fats on your own or if you are eating the dangerous trans fats, and hydrogenated oils which will surely clog up your arteries since they are one molecule removed from plastic.

It’s important to learn this because you might wind up on a statin drug if a doctor sees your cholesterol is high. And the side effects of the statin drugs are much too dangerous to be taken in such a haphazard way if you really don’t need them, which the majority of the population doesn’t. Many of our patients have high cholesterol and their arteries are very clean with no plaque. And I’ve seen people with low cholesterol have heart attacks. That’s why I’m sharing this information with you. We need to change the way we test for clogged arteries. And the first way is to test more accurately than just testing the total cholesterol, the HDL and the LDL cholesterol.

11 Frequently Asked Questions About SVA Home Detox

1) What is SVA Home Detox and how is it different from other detox programs?

The SVA Home Detox Program is a seasonal ayurvedic protocol designed by Vaidya Mishra to do an at-home simple yet effective seasonal cleanse. It consists of ayurvedic self-care protocols to help you reset your physical body through elimination and diet, and garner mental and emotional strength as well through Marma Therapy. The Marma module is an added free gift module. SVA offers us a more comprehensive understanding of the body and toxicity by working with 4 types of toxins that can be roughly categorized into 2 categories: Physical and vibrational. The physical include 3 types: 1) cold; 2) hot; 3) Endogenous (internal) and 4) exogenous (external). The non-physical toxin is a vibrational type of toxin that encompasses all energetic toxicity, including EMF.

In addition, SVA uses specific distinct techniques for eliminating all the different types of toxins from the body. So in this detox you not only learn about food (what to eat and what to avoid) but also how to detox from EMF, and also other external toxins. In addition, you will learn to how to maintain a diet suited to your physiology AFTER the course ends. This course is designed to ensure you learn all you need to know for a basic safe ayurvedic detox and empower you to maintain you health after you finish the course.

2) Is it a self-study program? How many hours do I need to dedicate to it per week?

Approximate amount needed per week is 4 hours: 1 hour viewing educational material online; up to 1 hour meeting with your SVA educator; and 60-90 minutes of weekly group meeting. In addition, you will do the detox on your own, once a week – you start prepping the evening before, and dedicate one whole day to yourself. The program calls for some fresh recipes. They are easy to prep, however, you may need to get some fresh vegetables.

3) What are the specific steps of the detox? How does it work?

SVA detox operates through the following modalities:

regulating and optimizing detox through bowel movements;
correcting and optimizing diet – plenty of easy and quick detox recipes are included;
specific herbs, teas, and spice blends to support the body in its cleanse AND rejuvenation – these are in capsule form or teas;
Marma protocol: to help with mental and emotional reset – this is a very simple but very powerful protocol taught by Vaidya Mishra, it uses specific herbal formulation as well;
the course is designed to offer community sharing and also supplies one-on-one with a certified SV Ayurveda expert;
there are weekly meetings that highlight additional knowledge or in-depth question and answer sessions, or guest speakers.

4) Who is it for? Who can do it? I don’t know any Ayurveda…

Anyone! You don’t need any knowledge of Ayurveda or detox or anything. It’s a set of specific steps that you learn. Plus it’s a great introduction to SV Ayurveda. If you currently have a chronic or medical condition, we can recommend you to a health practitioner and it’s best not to initiate any detox without their expert medical guidance.

5) What can I expect from it?

Every individual will have different results based on their physiology. In general, all report feeling better – lighter in the body, clarity in the mind, and better emotional support through the Samadhi Marma Course (included in the course fee). Some lose weight, others gain much needed weight. It is adapted to your own body’s needs.

6) What if I don’t feel good during the detox? A SVA educator will be working with you and you can reach out to them anytime. Please note that there are no refunds after the course has begun and you have received your detox box products – so please make sure you want to do this program. 7) Do I have to fast for SVA detox? Not at all. There will be plenty of delicious recipes and snacks as well, easy to prepare and satisfying, and detoxing too.

8) I am not sure I can afford it – I find it’s expensive? The total course fee includes 4 things:

Full access to the classroom where we have a great number of videos, articles, and knowledge by Vaidya Mishra; this is an invaluable resource that will also be available for you after the course is over;
One-on-one weekly sessions with your SVA expert to ask any questions etc;
A box of detox products tailored to your body type and specific needs (valued at $802 and discounted to $681); PLUS the Samadhi Marma Course valued at $700 and available as a gift in the detox course – Marma is an essential part of detox for mental and emotional health.
Weekly meetings that include more knowledge or Q&A.

9) What if I can’t attend all the sessions? No worries, all are recorded and you will have access for almost a year.

10) Is this a once-in-a-lifetime kind of detox or can I do it again?

You can do it again and again. Ideally – it should be done twice a year, in the Spring and in Autumn. The protocol is the same with some variations in the diet and other details. But the overall protocol remains the same. You will also learn other types of detox, such as the bi-weekly lunar detox as well as Sunday detox. These are additional small detox protocols that you can implement any time of year.

11) Do I have to pay the same fee each time/season I participate?

You only pay the full fee the very first time. Once you have learnt the protocol, you can participate in all future courses at a reduced rate. The detox box products are not included in that fee; however, you can purchase any/all products at a discounted rate as a returning fellow detoxer.

My teacher and mentor Vaidya Rama Kant Mishra had an encyclopedic knowledge of over 700 herbs. In fact, he was sent to America to develop formulas for one of America’s first Ayurvedic herbal companies, Maharishi Ayurvedic Products International (MAPI).

But of all the 700 herbs he used in his prize-winning formulations, his absolute favorite, and the herb he spoke about in the most hushed tones, was Guduchi, or Tinospora Cordifolia. He referred to it as divya aushaudhi or divine plant. In all of Ayurvedic medicine it is categorized as one of the 3 amrit or ambrosia plants.

The 16th century Ayurvedic treatise Bhava Prakasha, by Bhava Mishra, one of Vaidya Mishra’s ancestors, named it chinnodbhava which means “able to grow when cut.” Vaidya elaborated on this further stating that Guduchi possesses amrit siddhi, which means that it is so full of life energy that it has the ability to grow without soil or water in much the same way as the great rishis could live without food or water and instead subsisted on the pranic energy found in nature.

So why was this herb is given such an elevated status as a sacred herb?

First of all, it is considered a great rasayana, which means that it can rejuvenate the body. Guduchi has the capability of rejuvenating all 7 bodily tissues, organs and organ systems as well as the mind.

It has an amazing property, known as jivanti which means it can restore life back to lifeless bodies. According to Hindu mythology during the war between Ravana and Lord Rama, Ravana killed the entire mighty army of monkeys that assisted Rama in the battlefield. But finally, when Ravana was killed at the hands of Lord Rama, Indra, the God of Rain and Thunder got pleased and brought the entire army back to life by showering them with drops of nectar. It is believed that the nectar drops that fell from heaven on the ground gave rise to the Guduchi herb, blessing it with incredible rejuvenative properties.

So what do you think these words mean? Jivanti, restoring life back to lifeless bodies, or this story about nectar drops giving rise to the Guduchi herb?

It’s always hard to wonder what the ancient sages meant when they used parables to describe certain concepts. Now that I’ve used Guduchi for over 35 years I can give you my up to date version of what they might have been trying to convey.

Remember, they didn’t have the modern medicinal terminology that we use today. But think about this, cancer is one of the most serious diseases we see today, responsible for millions of deaths each year. Now we know Guduchi contains high amounts of berberine, which has been researched extensively since it can prevent cancer from metastasizing. And it can attack and weaken cancer cells.

And right up there with cancer is heart disease and diabetes. It turns out, according to the Sloan-Kettering website, berberine is used to control cholesterol levels and diabetes, supporting healthy blood sugar, cholesterol and triglyceride levels. And they even go so far as recommending that people who can’t tolerate statin drugs to lower cholesterol take berberine instead. Now we know that sugar feeds cancer so some oncologists are starting to use the diabetes drug metformin in the fight against cancer because it lowers the blood sugar, which prevents cancer from growing. But it’s important to note that the herb berberine can do everything that metformin can do…and even more.

In fact berberine reduces glucose production in the liver and is as powerful as both metformin and glimepiride in controlling blood glucose levels. It also helps in losing weight. Blood sugar levels and excess weight are both linked to increased cancer risk and recurrence.

It has anti-inflammatory benefits, inhibiting Cox-2 expression, which means it inhibits the growth of cancer. Metformin does not exhibit this benefit.

Berberine has so many actions in the fight against cancer that it is being used in many of the protocols given by even mainstream medical doctors which they create for their cancer patients.

Now in Ayurveda, we don’t recommend the pharmaceutical approach of extracting the active ingredient out of an herb, since it will give side effects. Which is why the whole herb of Guduchi is given for cancer, diabetes and heart disease, instead of isolating out its berberine.

Since cancer, diabetes and heart disease are killing off a major part of the population, and if Guduchi has effects on treating these three, maybe this was why the ancient doctors said it could lift someone out of the clutches of death?

Vaidya Mishra always taught us that Guduchi is unique in that it is the only herb which can go into the very deep tissues, such as the bone marrow, brain and nerve tissue and clean it out.

The chemicals in many of the vaccines we receive go straight into the bone marrow. Once toxins arrive there you can develop chronic fevers, that could persist or come and go. I’ve seen so many children in my practice who get these recurring fevers after receiving too many vaccines, sometimes up to 7 in one day. Their poor bodies can’t tolerate such an influx of chemicals and many of these chemicals go straight into the bone marrow.

The ancient doctors said that if toxins were to get stuck in the bone marrow you could have recurring or persistent fevers. And sure enough this is what I see in the children I treat. And like a miracle, once we give them Guduchi, either the herbal memory nectar drops or transdermally through a cream on the skin because they are too young to take the actual powerful crude herb of guduchi, their fevers, most of which had been going on for months or even years, disappear immediately!

Many of the modern toxins, such as air pollution, pesticides and pharmaceuticals can also go into the brain and nerve tissue, since these types of chemical toxins tend to get stored in the fat tissue — and all the brain and nerve tissue contains lots of fat and cholesterol. And when toxins get into the brain you can get diseases such as Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, dementia and MS. So again, Guduchi comes to the rescue, as it can clean out the toxins in the brain and nerve cells.

Vaidya Mishra was emphatic in stating that guduchi was the absolute best herb for autoimmune diseases since it has the capability of cleaning both the liver and the bone marrow, two very important parts of the immune system which when compromised can cause autoimmune tendencies.

And whenever someone has had to take repeated doses of antibiotics or has been on a medication for a long time, such as birth control pills, statin drugs, and acid reflux medicines, Guduchi comes to the rescue to clear these fat-soluble chemicals out of the fatty tissues of the body, such as the brain, the bone marrow, liver, kidneys and fat cells.

When Covid made its way to India all the Ayurvedic doctors immediately started stockpiling Guduchi in its various forms since it is highly prized in modulating the immune system, which means that it helps the immune system behave the way it should. And sure enough, it’s been especially useful in treating the Covid virus because what is killing most people is the cytokine storm. This happens when an infection triggers your immune system to flood your bloodstream with inflammatory proteins called cytokines. But if too many are released they can kill tissue and damage your organs. Guduchi is famous for preventing a cytokine storm because it keeps the immune system functioning intelligently, preventing this hyper reaction from occurring.

And finally, Guduchi is the best herb for treating leukemia since its origins begin in the bone marrow. But you should work with an Ayurvedic practitioner before going on Guduchi if you have been diagnosed with leukemia. They can decide the best way for you to take it, depending on own your unique imbalances.

And n general, it’s always best anyway to be under the care of an experienced Ayurvedic physician who knows how to use the various herbs so they can determine what you can and can’t tolerate, and when it’s best to introduce a new herb to your protocol.

This is especially true if you want to take Guduchi. The Guduchi Satwa is made from the stem of the plant which is very starchy and alkaline.But the leaf of the plant is very heating. So you have to make sure your liver can handle it because if your liver is already hot and angry the leaves create a very strong detox reaction which could overwhelm your liver resulting in digestive upset or a skin rash. Even Guduchi Satwa, the more mild version can give some side effects if you have lots of toxins which have been stored through the years. In this case your practitioner may decide to start with the memory nectar drops or the transdermal version of it, both of which are just the vibration or the intelligence of what Guduchi does. This way you can let your body get used to it before you start the actual crude herb.

You also have to prepare the body’s physical channels before using an herb like Guduchi, so they can handle all the toxins that will be pouring out into the bowel movement, urine and sweat channels. Again, your practitioner will know how to do this.

Learning about Guduchi is highly recommended as it is definitely one of the most important herbs for promoting a long healthy life.

One of Ayurveda’s most precious offerings are the self-care rituals designed to keep the body working in harmony with the seasonal changes driven by the journey of the sun across the cosmic skies. Each season brings along its own properties and has great impact on our physical as well as mental and emotional health. Seasonal change is much, so much more, than a day-light savings time kind of change! Our bodies operate differently in each season, and ideally our diet needs to be adjusted, as well as our rest and activity routines. We tend to live our lives oblivious of these seasonal shifts. And it’s ok. But when you start paying attention to what’s happening to your body inside and out depending on the season, and you start adjusting your diet according to the seasonal needs, you will be surprised to discover how it can impact your overall well-being and happiness. Spices and herbs key factors in this context. Here in the West, we tend to think of them solely as flavoring agents, but they are so essential for health. Specially when they are assembled synergistically to play a specific role in our bodies.

We are fortunate that Vaidya Mishra gave us so many balanced and powerful tea and spice blends. One of these is the Shroto Sudhi tea to help support our bodies during the Winter, as well as during the Spring seasonal transition. It can also be used at other times of the year depending on one’s needs, but it is a great and delicious cup of tea for this time of year in particular.

The shrotas, physical channels, in the body are given immense importance in Shakha Vansya Ayurveda. The Ayurvedic texts declare: “shroto mayo purusha” – the whole body is nothing but shrotas or physical circulatory channels. In this sense, only when these circulatory channels are open and “free-flowing” — you can think of them in terms of highways or roads – can there be health. These channels not only are the pathways through which nourishment is distributed and carried through the tissues, but they also are the pathways through which toxins are evacuated. Traffic goes both ways! And traffic needs to flow without blockages.

The Shroto Shudhi tea (and masala or spice mix) that Vaidya made targets this aspect of our health. The tea and the spice mix complement each other in terms of their functions. The masala addresses the channels in the body that carry “earthy soma” (food materials. We use this spice mix along with some ghee or olive oil, and it targets channels that carry lipid soluble materials.

The tea, on the other hand, targets channels in the body that carry “liquid soma” or water-soluble materials.

Both the tea and the masala support overall metabolism but “cooking up ama” – partially digested food materials, without aggravating “amavisha” – reactive toxins.

So what’s in this tea? And why?

Black Pepper: Opens the micro and macro channels of the body and brain, enhances the oxygenation in the channels of the brain, supports the kidney channels.

Cinnamon: Encourages glucose and carbohydrate metabolism.

Kalonji: Balances the hormonal system, adds a unique flavor, and balances the subdosas of the colon and stomach.

Green Cardamom: Supports the metabolism of proteins, and balances the coordination of the three sub-doshas of the stomach; samana vata, kledaka kapha, and pachaka pitta.

Nutmeg: Establishes a deeper connection between the mind, stomach and colon, helps to retain the integrity of intelligence in the channels when they become open and receptive to becoming overwhelmed.

All-spice: Opens the channels without overwhelming them.

White Pepper: Adds a unique flavor, opens the micro and macro channels of the body and brain, enhances the oxygenation in the channels of the brain, supports the kidney channels.

Mace: Unique flavor, opens channels and calms the mind, enhances the connection between the mind and the digestive tract.

Clove: Opening the channels and cools the digestive system.

Of course, the secret lies in the ratio of these different spices – and Vaidya was a master formulator in that sense. Try it and see of for yourself. Make yourself a cup: boil ½ tsp of the tea mix in 8o water for 3-5 minutes, strain and sip slowly. Use mostly after lunch or dinner.

Osteoarthritis is a very common condition which results from wear and tear on the joints, breaking down the cartilage in the joint, causing pain, inflammation and stiffness.

On the other hand, Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), does not occur from wear and tear — it is a condition where the immune system mistakenly starts attacking the joints. Even children and babies are known to come down with this condition. In a minute we’ll discuss all the reasons why the immune system loses its intelligence and begins to mount its horrific assault on the joints.

But first, let’s learn a little interesting anatomy about the structure of our joints.

Inside our synovial joints is a layer of connective tissue called the synovial membrane. Synovial joints are movable joins that enable us to flex, extend, rotate, abduct and adduct the joint. The joint is made up of a sac-like fibrous joint capsule, a synovial cavity filled with synovial fluid and a layer of articular cartilage.

The joint capsule is the capsule surrounding a synovial joint. It contains two layers — the first layer is a fibrous membrane that lies in the outer part of the capsule. It is made up mainly of ligaments, which is why it is so fibrous.

The second layer, which is the inner layer of the joint capsule, is the synovial membrane. This membrane is made up of two layers: an outer layer of connective tissue and the inner layer is made up of two types of cells: fibroblasts and macrophage-like cells.

Let’s focus our attention on the fibroblasts. The fibroblasts secrete synovial fluid which is a clear viscous fluid that functions by lubricating the joints. It contains protein and hyaluronic acid and serves as a lubricant to the joint cartilage surfaces. It also supplies nutrients and oxygen to the joints and removes toxins away from the joints. Some types of fibroblasts make collagen and even cartilage.

So the main function of the fibroblast is to protect the joint. But in Rheumatoid Arthritis the synovial fibroblasts become abnormal, aggressive and destructive.

One theory is that our genetics could predispose us to RA but we have to dig a little deeper and look at the situation from the perspective of epigenetics.

So what this means is that, yes you may contain the gene for RA, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you will come down with RA just because you have the gene for it. But it does mean that your behaviors and environment will determine whether the gene will wake up and express itself or not. So it is epigenetics that can determine if the gene is turned on or off. Things which turn on the gene are a processed diet, obesity, physical activity or trauma, cigarette smoking, alcohol consumption, environmental pollutants, exposure to air pollution or heavy metals, psychological and emotional stress and working the night shift.

So for example, we could line up 100 people who have the RA gene. Those who might actually come down with RA would be those that make these “mistakes” and drink alcohol or maybe they smoke cigarettes, or are eating an unhealthy fast food diet, or are exposed to heavy metals and pesticides.

These mistakes turn on the gene and then you can come down with RA. So having the gene for RA just means that the gene will be quiet, and you will never even know you had that gene. But then if you make any of the mistakes I just mentioned, then in your case you trend towards developing RA. Someone else might make similar mistakes you are making, but their gene expresses itself as something else, such as ulcerative colitis or scleroderma, or diabetes. It just depends on the genes you inherited.

So let’s say you have the gene, and you are making some of these mistakes. Then the gene’s switch is turned on and now the body begins making destructive fibroblasts. These are called Rheumatoid Arthritis Synovial Fibroblasts or RASF’s. So these “evil RASF’s” have an increased capacity to migrate, they can leave the joint and spread through the bloodstream and implant in another joint.

The regular intelligent fibroblasts stay in the same joint and never leave the area. But these evil fibroblasts can travel and implant into a different joint – much like cancer metastasizes.

Then the RASF’s produce pro-inflammatory cytokines which trigger an inflammatory response in the joints. And to make matters worse, the RASF’s can produce enzymes which break down the joints in contrast to the normal fibroblasts which build up and protect the joints.

Rheumatoid arthritis can eventually even damage the skin, the heart, blood vessels and ravage the whole body.

But remember though: your genes have both and on and an off switch. All you need to do is to stop making the mistakes, clean up your diet, go to bed early, stop smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol, and avoid exposure to chemicals and pharmaceuticals which disturb your immune system. By doing this and learning how to pull out the toxins which are disturbing your immune system and joints, the gene will settle down and the RA symptoms will start to dissipate as your immune system regains its intelligence and stops launching its attacks on the joints.

If you’ve been listening to any of my other videos by now you know that the immune system is intelligent and knows not to attack your own body. But the immune system basically consists of 3 major parts: the friendly bacteria in the gut, the liver and the bone marrow.

What you CAN Do!

So first and foremost, you want to avoid medications which destroy your friendly bacteria. Medications such as antibiotics, birth control pills, acid reflux medicines, steroids and immunizations. If you have a history of taking any of these you must regrow your friendly bacteria or you could suffer the consequences of your immune system spiraling out of control since your gut micro biome, or the friendly bacteria in the gut, stabilize your immune system and keep it from attacking you. The use of these pharmaceuticals in modern times is responsible for many of the epidemics of autoimmune diseases we are seeing nowadays.

Next you must keep your liver clean and cool. Too many toxins in a highly processed diet combined with too many pharmaceuticals heat up the liver as they course through it. Once the liver heats up, it provokes the immune system to go in the attack mode, and you could develop RA if you have the gene for it. So you must cool the liver, clean it out and regenerate liver cells, especially if you have been raised on vegetable oils which form a poison once heated and damage the liver cells. Of course, you should contact an Ayurvedic physician who is well trained in repairing and cleaning the liver. Don’t try to do this on your own or you run the risk of pushing yourself further into an autoimmune crisis if you take remedies which could heat up the liver even more. Remedies such as milk thistle, garlic capsules, MSM, flax seeds, turmeric and garlic capsules, shilajit, and ashwagandha, to name a few. Notice that many of these remedies are recommended incorrectly for people with RA.

Third, you must clean the bone marrow since modern toxins such as pesticides, air pollution, heavy metals, immunizations and many other pharmaceuticals wind up in the bone marrow on a regular basis. And the bone marrow is where the immune system cells are born, so if toxins reach this very deep tissue autoimmune diseases may result.

Once you balance out all three parts of the immune system you must change your diet to a healthy one — also, work with your Ayurvedic physician on this. And you must learn to do correct detox, always making sure your body’s physical channels are well lubricated since it is these channels that have to carry out these very hot nasty toxins into the bowel movement, urine and sweat. If you pull out the toxins too quickly and if the channels aren’t well lubricated you run the risk of rupturing the channels, and the toxins are free to roam throughout the whole body and you are now in even bigger trouble since you can’t get to them anymore. Yet another reason to contact an Ayurvedic physician who is familiar with this problem.

Then you must use herbs to calm down your hyper immune system which will allow the inflammation to go down and then of course the herbs to heal the cartilage, synovial fluid and collagen formation. Yes, believe it or not, we have a whole arsenal of herbs and other remedies which can heal the joints and the cartilage. And we even have herbs that work exactly like steroids, but without the side effects, so you can stay on them longterm until the autoimmune tendency and inflammation goes away.

Current treatments for RA involve shutting down the immune system in order to stop the attacks on your joints. While this approach may work it is a scary notion to be walking around with a turned off immune system. The approach we take is to modulate the immune system, or gently bring the hyper-reactive immune system back down to normal. And as a side note here: if you have RA, or any other autoimmune disease for that matter, you definitely don’t want to take any herbal formulas which “boost” your immune system. Occasionally I run into a patient who is doing just that, and I make sure I take them off the remedy since their immune system is already too boosted. What we need to do is to calm it down so it stops hyper-reacting and attacking the body.

And one other thing: we might study the body as if it is made up of various components, such as the endocrine system, the nervous or digestive system, the immune system. But the real truth is that anything can affect anything, due to the various connections made on the inside of the body which pulls all the systems together as one. So if one area goes out of balance it could affect many other systems and processes in the body, even if they seem unrelated. That’s why we often see thyroid involvement with rheumatoid arthritis, for example. So in these cases you have to see all the reasons which are disrupting the thyroid gland and support it since a weak thyroid contributes to joint pain.

And of course, in Ayurveda we also evaluate the state of Vata, Pitta and Kapha since imbalances in each of these principles which govern all aspects of the physiology can create joint pain — Vata can dry out the joints and cause severe pain, pitta can create heat and inflammation in the joints and kapha can create stiffness in the joints, especially if digestion is sluggish and you are creating ama (partially digested food) which can accumulate in the joints. So in these cases we have to teach the patient how to keep all three in balance as they go through their life.

And finally, our emotional states can also cause autoimmune reactions in the body because if you are angry, stressed, or grieving your digestion can be impaired to the point where you could be making ama visha from your food. Ama visha is a very hot reactive toxin which gets produced by anything which could interfere with the normal digestion of the food. When food is only partially digested it forms what is called ama, or a residue of undigested food which clogs the digestive channel. But then once the initial channel clogs, all subsequent channels in the body can clog, which could cause stiffness and pain, as I just mentioned.

But if the ama rots and ferments, an acidic more highly reactive version of itself forms, which is called ama visha. The word visha means poison. So ama visha is worse than ama because this hot acidic toxin can pave the way for autoimmune diseases due to its hot tendency which can quickly push the immune system into highly inflammatory autoimmune reactions. But when there is emotional stress, the food turns into ama visha immediately, which means it doesn’t have to first form ama, and then rot into ama visha. That’s why imbalanced emotional states can adversely affect the body immediately.

Fortunately, we have herbs and many other treatments to help you deal with your emotional challenges and effective ways of ridding the body of ama visha. For example, regular ama is cold and clogging, so it needs to be burnt out of the channels using hot spices and herbs. However, ama visha is already hot, reactive and inflammatory, so clearing this from the channels requires an artful approach so as not to inadvertently create more heat which will push the immune system into more autoimmune reactions.

So now you know if you suffer from Rheumatoid Arthritis there is another alternative for you. First, it involves determining what mistakes you are making so you can reverse the bad habits, and then work on recalibrating your immune system by eating healthy and doing the necessary detox so that your immune system can once and for all get back on track so those evil RASF’s can fade away, allowing the normal fibroblasts to do their work in protecting your joints for your whole life.
