Garavisha Tea for Xenobiotics

What is Garavisha tea?

Gar(a) means “slow” and vish(a) means poison. Garavisha is a slow poison, a substance whose toxic action reveals itself after an extended period of time. In ancient times, the ayurvedic healers coined this term to refer specifically to slow poisons external to the body, such as does carried by some animals and insects. SVA extends the original definition of garavisha from the ayurvedic shastras or texts to encompass our modern concept of xenobiotics – from xenos (Greek for foreign) and bio (living organism). Garavisha, as Vaidya Mishra explains, can help us deal with the modern phenomenon of xenobiotic toxicity or chemical compounds that are foreign to our bodies, not produced by our own bodies, and thus externally acquired. Our bodies do not produce garavisha. Rather garavisha toxins enter our bodies from the environment. Garavisha is thus an exogenous toxin, a poisonous substance that enters our body from outside. For example: drugs (medicinal or recreational); environmental compounds or pollutants such as synthetic pesticides, herbicides; industrial pollutants and preservatives that are nowadays commonly used in personal care products such as SLS (Sodium Laurel Sulfate as a foaming agent); Parabens (a preservative); synethetic scents, flavors, and coloring agents; etc. All these are not found in nature, but are rather lab manufactured and derived.

Xenobiotics enter our body insidiously, silently, without our being aware or feeling anything. They enter our bodies when we inhale toxiccleaners fumes; or they transdermally crossing our blood barrier when we apply them on our skin or touch them; alternatively, they result from the oral consumption of synthetic chemical products or products that contain synthetic elements.

Garavisha molecules are too small and foreign for the immune system to process them, so they get to sit around in the physiology and cause slow but long term damage on a micro-cellular level, eventually resulting in chronic ill-health.

detox3But you do not need to wait to get sick in order to detox garavisha. SV Ayurveda recommends safe and effective daily detox for optimal well-being. This herbal tea specially formulated by Vaidya Mishra will help bind and evacuate toxic molecules of garavisha that we willy-nilly ingest since we are exposed to xenobiotic molecules in so many aspects of our daily lives from personal care products (soaps, toothpaste, shampoo, perfumes, hair dyes, shaving products, laundry detergents, dishwasher liquids, general cleaning products, chemicals and dyes in our transportation systems or the environment we work in, not to mention preservatives in our food, etc).

In this formula, Guduchi will re-establish molecular intelligence and support the body to identify and eliminate toxic micro-molecules; Indian sarsaparilla will eliminate the fat soluble toxins by supporting the intelligent functioning of the fat metabolism; Neem will activate the detox process and support the immune system; Basil will support the body’s immunity to help ward-off any detox crises and nourish tissues supporting the production of ojas – the finest substances of post-digestion that nourishes the neutro-transmitters ; Marshmallow root will lubricate the channels to protect from the toxins, as it also coats the toxins to contain their reactivity while they are evacuated through our detox pathways; Peppermint will help maintain the channels open so as to facilitate toxic evacuation; Slippery elm will  supply lubrication for the channels as well as support the growth of friendly bacteria to help strengthen immunity; Coriander will help bind and eliminate virulent toxins such as mercury, lead, arsenic, and more; Rose will maintain the physiology cool and balanced during the detox process of the insidious and highly toxic garavisha waste.

For optimal results, it is best to use this tea in conjunction with the SVA Diet, and/or prep your physiology by stopping the intake of toxic substances or food, or exposure to a toxic environment before initiating detox. For more information on the SVA diet, go to: www.vaidyamishra.com

Ingredients: Vaidya Mishra’s proprietary blend with Guduchi, Neem, Indian Sarsaparilla, Basile, Slippery Elm, Marshmallow root, Peppermint, Coriander, and Rose.

Directions: Use ½ tsp of tea per cup. Bring to a gentle boil, filter and drink. Drink up to 2 cups a day, one morning and one evening. If you are already drinking any other personal herbal tea, give 1-2 hours distance before consuming this tea. Or use as directed by your SVA expert.

Dr.Teitelbaum on the SVA Home Detox Manual

Dr.Teitelbaum on the
SVA Home Detox Manual

There is nothing more precious than experiencing radiant health. How can we enjoy our birthright – higher states of consciousness and the bliss that lies latent in every cell in our bodies – if we are feeling sick, tired, depressed and our physical bodies are laden with toxins?

But robust health is a rare commodity these days, as we fall victim to the temptations of eating unhealthy processed foods, go to bed late and then just pop pills for the ailments that will eventually arise from this type of lifestyle.

There is a way out however, and it is totally within your reach. The key to good health is 3-fold: eat healthy, keep a good daily routine, (going to bed early and waking up early), and learn correct detoxification.

When I tell patients they need to do these 3 things in order to regain their health, they automatically start telling me of the cleanse they just finished – they either did a maple syrup-cayenne pepper cleanse, or a series of colonics or a liver cleanse using milk thistle. Many of them have taken harsh herbal laxatives such as cascara sagrada and senna. Yet, even though they have just finished their cleanse they are not only still highly symptomatic, but more often than not, they are in worse shape than before they started their cleanses.

So here we have a beautiful booklet by Vaidya Rama Kant Mishra, where he systematically and sequentially unfolds the knowledge of his divine family lineage, Shakha Vansiya Ayurveda (SVA for short).

As you read through the pages, you will be struck by the attention to detail Vaidya Mishra brings to whatever he does. He describes everything you need to know about detoxification: the 4 types of toxins and where they come from, a thorough discussion of the physical and vibrational channels and the role they play in the detox process. Then he describes in even greater detail the actual cleanses – keeping in mind that we not only want to pull out the toxins, but we want to direct them to the bowel and kidneys for evacuation and we also want to bind them while waiting for evacuation from these areas so they do not start roaming and creating havoc somewhere else in the body. And while doing all this, we have to keep the liver cool so the patient doesn’t develop rashes on the skin or develop loose bowel movements.

Having taken thousands of patients through this cleansing process, paying attention to these details as the patients do their cleanses, I can tell you this type of detox works extremely well – and best of all it is fairly easy and safe to do.

Many times, a patient will come up to me and ask me if there is a cure for cancer. This is your “cure” right here, in the pages of this booklet. And it turns out that the cure for not only cancer, but any serious disease you can think of, comes in its prevention – again, by eating healthy, going to bed early and learning correct simple daily detoxification procedures.

I see thousands of patients each year. And I see lots of suffering. But I can tell you honestly and with strong conviction: the suffering can be alleviated – it is within your reach – and you, like all of my patients can do this – you will be amazed at how quickly your health returns, thanks to the guidance and teachings of Vaidya Mishra and his millennial healing family lineage.

Vaidya’s introduction to SVA Home-Detox Manual

The accumulation of toxins in the body is a naturally occurring phenomenon. The body produces waste-products on a daily basis. These are known as mala-s in Ayurveda: feces, urine, sweat, etc. It is only when these waste-products are allowed to linger, that they become toxic. This is one source of endogenous or internal toxic build-up.

Another source of internal toxins comes from poor digestion. Poor digestion can result from poor dietary habits: eating on the run; eating in front of the TV; eating indigestible food; overeating; etc. Toxins made from poorly digested food matter are known as ama. If we do not evacuate ama, if we let it stay in our bodies, it becomes virulent, more acidic and toxic in nature, and it turns into amavisha- a highly reactive type of toxin.

But, nowadays, exogenous or externally induced toxins are just as  harmful as endogenous toxins. The environment we live in can be highly toxic, starting with the personal care products we use – shampoo, deodorant, etc; to house-cleaning products; preservatives and chemicals used in dyes; clothing; furniture; etc. Another kind of exogenous toxicity that affects our overall health has to do with EMF overload from cell-phones, microwaves, and the overuse of electric devices such as computers, etc.

Proper detox is essential for long-term health and happiness. But proper detox depends on many factors, not just switching to a better diet and exercising! If your detox pathways are damaged or blocked; if the season is not right for detox; or you are currently going through emotional or mental stress; then you may dislodge your toxins without properly evacuating them and they will most likely end up roaming around and damaging organs, organ systems, or even the cellular intelligence of your body, resulting in severe imbalances and eventually incurable chronic conditions.

In this book, I cover all possible types of toxins present in our modern world. You will learn how there are different types of toxins that carry a different solubility based on their own chemical composition. You will then see how you can evacuate toxins based on their make-up or type, and which channels or detox pathways to use to eliminate specific toxins in an easy, safe, and effective way. You will also learn how it is not enough to detox, but it is very important to nourish: when you detox you eliminate toxic waste that was occupying space. You need to replace that toxic waste that was eliminated by nurturing molecules or particles. Detox and rejuvenation are the 2 strokes of one protocol. Neither is complete without the other.

The self-detox protocol outlined in this book has been practically applied by many SVA practitioners and followers across the United States and Canada, successfully, for the past several years. Now you can also learn how to do your own home-detox, minimize the build-up of future toxic waste, and rejuvenate!

Can you wash off essential oils with just cold water?

Can you wash off essential oils with just cold water?
question from a reader

“Tribindu looks awesome!

One note: in the information you list a caution to not get it on sensitive areas or on the eyes. Washing with cool water will not help to

Remove the essential oils, please advise users to apply a base oil (sesame, sunflower, ghee etc) or wash with soap to remove the essential oils as this is the only way to dilute their strength.

Thanks!!
Follow your Bliss!

Radha Crawley, LMT, CAE

Dear Radha: thank you for your email – and your concern. You are right, if 3 of the following criteria are not met:
1) the essential oil is not in an ultra-pure crystal form
2)  If it is adulterated with heavy oils.
3) If the mixture is not balanced – like Tribindu is balanced by Holy Basil or Tulsi.

The SVA Tribindu formulation is made of ultra-pure crystals not essential oils. The oil content of crystals is more water soluble rather than lipid soluble. We’ve already had feedback and many clients who got the mixture into their eyes were able to flush off the burning sensation within seconds by applying cold/cool water. Having said this, it is best to always avoid the sensitive areas, as this mixture is also detoxifying and you would not want too much detox all at once in your eyes, etc.

High Protein Wholegrain SVA Snack

In following SVA dietary protocols you may find yourself craving for snacks you wisely no longer want to consume – most snacks are high in sodium or sugar – two main culprits for toxic build-ups; or they are prepared with the infamous rape-seed aka canola oil – organic first press or not, this oil is highly toxic for your physiology; or the snack could be made of refined flour; contain unwanted yet popular ingredients such as flax or chia seeds, etc. If you could set aside some time on the weekends to assemble a healthy snack that can last you  through the week, you will feel the difference! Specially with detox season being just around the corner. Thank you Daria S., for  creating and sending over this delicious recipe.

Bathe to Detox!

The SVA tradition capitalizes on the importance of gentle daily detox through bathing. Vaidya Mishra’s ancestors – physicians to royalty – developed meticulous specific detox bathing protocols – always in line with the  ayurvedic shastras – but addressing the current ailments of their royal patients. These secrets have been passed down to Vaidya Mishra who now has to present them in a format that takes into account our contemporary bodies laden with stress, unhealthy lifestyles and diet, and high EMF exposure.  It is the task of the vaidya, to adapt and adjust ancient knowledge to address our modern needs.

In earlier times, the SVA lineage made use of all the possible modalities of releasing toxins from the body through bathing. All possible modalities include the following list:

  • Aushadhi Snan or herbal bath: this is detox with water and herbs that are steeped in warm water. pic2Aushadhi snan can be self-administered or under the supervision of a clinician. An herbal bath can be either only detoxing or detoxing and rejuvenating at the same time. Vaidya Mishra offers us 3 different herbal bath mixtures – read further for more details.

  • Mrittika or mud baths that are prepared with specific herbal synergies. Clay has the specific original property of absorbtion. When clay, or mud, is applied onto our skin, it mobilizes and pulls out toxins. In general, a mud bath has to have a proper-set up so as not to clog the plumbing pipes, in this sense, it can be difficult to draw oneself a mud bath at home.

Vaidya Mishra has resolved this issue by formulating a special line of CreamClay products. The CreamClay line, as the name indicates, has the texture of a cream, smooth and unctuous, but it is made of clay and thus carries the detoxing properties a mudbath would have. In addition, though, Vaidya’s CreamClays will not clog or accumulate in your bath tub or plumbing pipes. They are safe to use. Vaidya’s CreamClay micro-molecules travel deep into your skin layers to bind the toxins and pacify vyana vata – vyana vata originates from marut, clay being the solidpaste part of soma, it grounds and pacifies vyana vata. Vaidya’s CreamClays bind both fat and water soluble toxins. This is what Mrittika baths are said to do in the Shastras. The vegetable glycerin in Vaidya’s CreamClays prevents dryness in the skin – dryness that can result from a mud bath in general. Vaidya has designed his CreamClays to pull out toxins out but also fills the vacuum created there with soma from the vegetable glycerin and other ingredients, such as marshmallow root etc.

  • Dadhi – is the yoghurt bath, and its primary benefit comes through the probiotic or friendly bacteria that get absorbed. In the shastras, where there is discussion of beauty inside and out, shubhang karanam, the ayurvedic rishis acknowledge how the friendly bacteria in yoghurt play a major role in keeping our skin healthy and lustrous. But, unfortunately, unless one has access to the royal kitchens of yore with dollops of yoghurt, it is hard to get a a yoghurt bath. Vaidya has put together a full line of active pre- and probiotic creams as well as creamclays that supply food for friendly bacteria as well as friendly bacteria themselves to the skin. The formulas contain mucillagenous fibres, in addition to aromatic and nurturing herbs and vegetable glycerin. The cream can be applied onto the whole body, then washed off, and then the probiotic cream for the body can be applied and left on. The formulas will actually be much more balancing and nourishing than a regular yoghurt bath!

  • Dugdh – or milk bath, specifically cow’s milk, was the signature privilege of royalty, with many benefits for the physiology. The milk bath has been discussed in various shastras. bath Milk has been known to have both cleansing and  nurturing properties for the skin. Several proteins and micro-molecules of the fat, along with calcium molecules, provide excellent cleansing and nurturing simultaneously. So how do you get the milk’s benefits without the financial and ethical guilt associated with bathing in a tub of cow’s milk? Sponge with milk. Warm up some milk, 2-3 cups, and pour into a bowl. Add a few rose petals. Then get a cotton cloth or natural fiber clean sponge, and sponge your body with it – tip to toe. Relax 5-10 minutes then shower off.

  • Pushp snan or flower bath – is when we use the properties of flowers and plants to balance our physiology. For example: rose, lavender, jasmine, and many more. You can use the essential oil form, or the dry petals or bulbs. An economical and fast way is to use Vaidya’s SVA soaps with 100% organic real essential oils. Wet the soap bar and apply all over your body. Your skin absorbs the essential oils instantaneously.flowers

  • Mantr Snan is an ancient form of vibtrational bath very common before any auspicious vedic ritual. It involves infusing the vibrational energy of healing sound, or a mantra, into the bath water. This is how you do it: get a bowl of room temperature water, close your eyes and dive within your yogic silent space and recite silently the mantra(s) of your choice, then blow your breath on the bowl of water. Repeat as many times as needed. Then add your bowl of mantra-charged water to water in your bathtub and slip in for a divine experience. “Mantr snan” helps reset your physiology’s cellular intelligence at the most subtle level. If you do not have a mantra or do not wish to charge water yourself here is what you can do. Place a bowl of water next to your speaker and play the healing mantra of your choice – you can use any of Vaidya Mishra’s Healing Mantras. You can play a mantra for at least 20 minutes or as long as 20 hours – it’s up to you. Then pour that bowl of mantra-charged water into your bath and dip in.

All these types of bathing listed above can be done for either:

  • shodhana or detox : this can be either self-administered or conducted under the supervision of a clinical expert
  • rasayana or rejuvenation

As you can see, with his formulations or adaptations of the vedic wisdom to suit our modern lifestyles, Vaidya Mishra has made it very easy for us to have not only a “mud bath” but even to experience the benefits of a yoghurt or milk bath.  But if that’s still too much for you in terms of allotted time, just go with a regular bath or shower. You will be amazed to see how many detoxing and healing properties are associated with taking a bath. See what Bhav Mishra, a great ayurvedic author and healer who wrote practical manuals of Ayurveda based on Carak’s wisdom, says about bathing or showering (pouring warm or cold water over the body and the heat):

text1

deepanam: increases metabolic and digestive fires; vrishyam: increases seven tissues including the reproductive tissue, shukra; ayushyam: increases longevity; snan: shower/bath; manobalapradam: increases mental stamina; kandu: (takes away) itching; mala: toxic waste of the skin; shrama: fatigue; swed: sweat; tandra: drowsiness; tringa: stiffness; daha: burning sensation; pap manutam: cleanses physically and vibrationally.

Benefits of cool and hot water shower:

text2

Snan or bathing with cool water, not cold, pacifies and cools the blood tissue and pacifies pitta. On the other hand, bathing with hot water “tadevo snehe toyenam” –enhances “balyam” or stamina and pacifies vata and kapha.

Contraindications:

The shastras do contra-indicate taking a bath for individuals experiencing fever, diarrhea, vata aggravation in the eyes, ears, tymphanitis, gastritis, sinusitis, indigestion in general.

Benefits of Vaidya Mishra’s SVA Bath Pouchesbathpouch

Vaidya Mishra’s Self-Detrox Shodhana Snan bath pouch is ideal for you if you want to initiate a gentle detox during your home detox program, or whenever you feel your physiology needs cleansing. You may also use this bath pouch after abhyanga or self-massage. Finish off your detox bath by using the turmeric and/or detox soaps. What’s in your Self-Detox bath pouch?

  • Neem: is very famous for transdermal and oral detox due to its bitter properties
  • Gymnema: will trandermally neutralize deposits of glucose and supports the immune system of the skin
  • Indian sarsaparilla: purifies the fat soluble toxins and the sweat
  • Guduchi: is a very powerful detoxifying herb that supports the immunity of the skin simultaneously.
  • Manjistha: neutralizes the reactivity of toxins
  • Pushkarmool: breaks down and neutralizes blends of toxic make-up
  • Peppermint: opens the channels for easier evacuation of toxins
  • Amla : detoxifies and resets the body’s and the skin’s pH

Vaidya’s Rasayana Snan or Rejuvenation Bath Pouches: no detox protocol is compelte witout rejuvenation, and vice versa. That is why it is good to use this bath pouch in conjunction with the Shodhana pouches. Use the shodhan first and then do the rasayana after 3 days. Repeat the cycle as needed.

Our skin secretes mala or toxic residue every day. The skin is our largest detox organ in addition to being the barrier between the environment and our bodies. You can use these detox pouches in all seasons, and associate the soaps accordingly: use the winter soap during the winter season to finish off your bath, or the Vetiver soap in the summer time, etc.

What does your Rasayana Bath Pouch do ingredient-wise?

  • Rose : aromatic and astringent principle of rose enhances the bliss of the heart and mind, plus supports the firmness of the skin
  • Jasmine: due to its “sandhania” or “keeping together” effect, it keeps all the skin layers attached delaying sagging,
  • Pushkarmool: enhances the ability to fight against allergens
  • Ylang-ylang: nourishes the skin
  • Indian sarsaparilla; nourishes the fat releasing follicles
  • Manjistha: enhances complexion –  it is considered a “varniya”
  • Peppermint: opens the detox channels and relaxes
  • Amla: is a rasayana for the skin and all the tissues
  • Guduchi: rasayana for the skin and resets the body’s cellular intelligence
  • Gymenma: neutralizes dermal glucose and enhance immunity.
  • Lavender: relaxes the mind and the skin – vyan vata.

Tribindu with Tulsi

tribindu1Certain formulas of the SVA tradition are highly versatile. They have been used for many generations for a wide range of imbalances and ailments. One such formula is called Tribindu – “tri” for three, and “bindu” for drop.
Tribindu is made of 3 ingredients: Camphor, Ajwain, and Peppermint.
Vaidya is bringing this ancient formula back for us, and adding another holy ingredient to it: Tulsi.
What is Tribindu used for?
In India, during the rainy season, disease can be rampant in village setttings because of the prominence of water and air-born infections. Vaidya’s ancestors used this formula to keep infections at bay within the individual or in the environment. They would recommend different ways of using it to either cleanse the environment or strengthen an individual’s immunity.
tribindu2The ancestral SVA healers long knew about the powerful anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties of Camphor, Ajwain, and Peppermint. But they also used this formula to help with insect and mosquito bites. In addition, they recommended it for extreme cold weather conditions when the body’s physical circulatory channels are known to shrink. In this case, simply inhaling this Tribindu would help relax and open the channels and support overall immunity – open channels release toxins much more easily and readily. The SVA ancestors also used the Tribindu mixture for overall body aches, muscle stiffness, sprains, etc.

Vaidya Mishra says: “For a long time, I wanted to make this formula available. It can be used for so many different things. The only thing is it has to be used with caution because it is made of 100% pure essential oils. I have added no buffers and there is no adulteration at all. You should be careful not to apply it and then touch your eyes or sensitive parts of your body. If that happens, make sure you rinse with plenty of fresh cool water right away to wash away the essential oils.”

Here’s what the shastras or ancient ayurvedic texts have to say about the three – plus one – ingredients in Tribindu.

The first ingredient in Tribindu is Ajwain (Trachyspermum copticum).tribindu3

Three prominent nighantu-s or commentaries have described the powerful bactericidal and thermogenic effects of Ajwain.

The Dhanvantri nighantu says:

tribindu5
This means Ajwain is “victorious” over the “krimi”s or bacteria. Then “vahnideepanee” means ignites or “deepani,” the “vani” or metabolic fire of the body – and thus creates thermogenesis.

The Raj nighantu, on the other hand, says it is “krimi mardini” as well as “deepani para:” again bactericidal and thermogenic.

tribindu4
The popular commentator Bhav prakash says Ajwain is: “tikshoshna” sharp and hot, and “deepani” and “krimi pranut” – thermogenic, bactericidal, and penetrating.

tribindu7
tribindu8

The second ingredient in Tribindu is Karpur or camphor (Cinamomum camphora). tribindu9

The Dhanvantri Nighantu describes it as  “medoshagnam” – it melts and evacuates the toxins in the fat tissue:
tribindu10jpg
tribindu11

Bhav prakash says it is:  – mobilizes and evacuates the toxins:
tribindu12

it mobilizies and evacuates toxins.
It is also:
tribindu13
It eliminates “foul” smells and purifies the air.
The third ingredient is Peppermint or pootinah(Mentha tribindu14piperita). The Raj Nighantu says it is:
tribindu15
tribindu16
That is: it pacifies the kapha predominant cough. It is also:
tribindu17
tribindu18
It gets rid of bacteria.
The Vanoshadidarpan text says it:
tribindu19
tribindu20

relieves pain related to kapha and vata imbalances.

The Tribindu formula is potent as is, but Vaidya Mishra has now added Holy Basil or Tulsi (Ocimum tenuiflorum) to it, to give it further balancing and cleansing properties.
tribindu21The Charak sutrasthan verse 271/64 says:
tribindu22
tribindu23

Tulsi takes care of hiccups, coughs, toxins, and breathing problems relating to all these. Tulsi is also a “deodorizer” on many levels:

tribindu24
tribindu25

Susruta, on the other hand, says: “kapha nila visha swasa khasa dorgandhya nasama” – pacifies kapha vata relieves toxins, helps in breathing trouble, cough, and removes bad smell.
tribindu26
tribindu27

This means: Tulsi pacifies Kapha and Vata, evacuates toxins, helps in breathing trouble, soothes, coughs, and removes bad odors.

In 46/234, Susruta also adds that Tulsi is:
tribindu28
That is: it relieves pain.

The Dhanvantri nighantu explains:
tribindu29
Tulsi is light and warm in nature, it is drying, it pacifies kahpa, it is bactericidal, as well as thermogenic.

The Raj nighantu says:
tribindu30
tribindu31

Tulsi takes care of “invisible” (microscopic) living organisms, or bacteria, and it pacifies vata dosha.

You can use the Tribindu to replicates the results that the ancient vedic texts have confirmed, but you can also be creative and incorporate this wonderful formulation into your daily life in a myriad of ways. Here are some practical ideas that you can put to action right away.tribindu32

11 uses of Tribindu:

1) Use it to help support your sinus pathways and discourage potential bacterial growth in your oral cavity –  apply on a scarf, wrap around your mouth and nose and gently inhale

2) Spray it in your room – on your couch, pillows, carpet, desk, or just in the air, to clean and refresh the air. You can also use an essential oil diffuser and squirt 2-3 times into the water and then plug it in for sustained delivery.

3) Apply a small amount on your feet and massage in: when you have fatigue, poor circulation, cold handstribindu33 and feet, the Tribindu will warm you up right away, enhancing circulation and thermogenesis.

4) Apply on sore achy muscles before and also after exercise to mobilize and evacuate toxic build-up and ease blow flow for enhanced mobility

5) Support your overall circulation and thermo-genesis, specially in cold weather, when you have to go out – apply on hands and feet before putting on gloves and socks.

tribindu346) Use it to ease away tension and stress from your neck and shoulder areas – spray 2-3 times and massage in. You can also use it on your lower or upper back areas

7) Use it to ward off insect bites or to soothe itchiness from bites: spray on insect bites or mosquito bites and massage – do not spray on an open wound or bite.

8)  Spray on joints – knees, elbows, wrists, ankles, finger joints, etc, morning and evening, to help maintain healthy joints free from toxic accumulation, and enhance mobility. Spray and gently massage.

9) Use it to relax: spray a few times into your bath water in the tub, tribindu35and dip in to relax.tribindu35

10) Spray on your throat area when you feel you have an itchy throat and may be getting a cold. Spray and cover with a scarf, and inhale.

11) You can also use the Tribindu to help ward off infections, for example, apply on your nails and fingers after clipping them.

Whichever way you use it, it is a great and safe household remedy to keep close by, rain or shine!

Cholesterol, Migraines, Arthritis, and more! – February 20, 2014 – Vaidya Mishra’s Newsletter, No 7, Volume 4

M&TWhat do high cholesterol, pneumonia, Strep throat, migraines, head tremors, H. Pylori, and Rhumatoid Arthritis have in common? SVA Healing and Dr. Marianne Teitelbaum! With simple and practical SVA protocols as taught by Vaidya Mishra, witness how Dr. Teitelbaum has been helping countless people over the past several years, regain their balance and bliss.

from the Statin & high cholesterol – January 2, 2014

This is another excellent example of how you want to resist the temptation to treat the symptom and rather, check further and deeper into the physiology, and fix the underlying cause of the problem.
This little girl had high cholesterol, so rather than putting her on a low-fat diet (which was already done and didn’t work anyway), I was able to examine her pulse and see that her liver was extremely overheated due to too many pharmaceuticals such as antibiotics in the past.
The liver makes the bile, which has two detergents in it which emulsify the fats in the blood so they can break down into small enough molecules that can cross a delicate cell wall and absorb into all the cells of our body.  But when the liver overheats, it can become irritable and lose its intelligence and not perform its numerous functions well, such as in this case, it wasn’t able to control the cholesterol and instead allowed it to slowly build up in the blood.
In this case, we used an herb which not only cools down the liver, but brings the intelligence back to the liver — like waking it up! — so it can perform all its functions properly.  Once we cooled the liver, the cholesterol miraculously dropped back down to normal.  And all this happened even though we taught the mother to give her whole milk and ghee, both of which have cholesterol!
We see numerous cases of high cholesterol issues in our practice — each patient has a slightly different underlying cause which has to be addressed.  Automatically taking either a statin drug (which lowers cholesterol and harms the liver in the process) or a nutraceutical, such as red yeast rice (which can also harm the liver) — we don’t want to just try to lower the cholesterol, but again, fix the reason why it is happening.
And we do all this without putting the patient on a low-fat diet — the brain needs ample amounts of cholesterol, and the adrenal gland hormones and reproductive hormones (estrogen, testosterone, etc.) are made out of cholesterol, so these low-fat diets could affect not only brain function (creating memory loss or senility or worse), but rapid aging of the body when the reproductive hormones cannot be made properly from lack of raw materials.

Dr. Teitelbaum treats Blenda’s migraines,
high blood pressure & head tremors – January 2, 2014

Blenda came to our office with two main complaints:  headaches and tremors.
First, we addressed the underlying cause of the headaches, which was overheating in the liver.  The heat rises into the head and creates the headaches.  We put her on herbs to cool down the liver (always using glyceride drops and transdermal creams rather than tablets of the herbs, which would heat up the liver even more).  The transdermal creams take the herbs through the skin, directly into the system, bypassing the liver — when you swallow the herbs they have to go through the liver and in a case like this if you give too many oral tablets of herbs the liver heats up.  The glyceride drops are the vibration or memory of the herb and are given in a litre of water and sipped on slowly throughout the day thus preventing further heating of the liver.)
Then we changed her diet to a more alkaline-based diet, eliminated all junk foods and foods which would heat the liver (garlic, onions, vinegar, etc.), and took her through the cleansing process.  We cleanse the patients in a way which will not heat the liver — therefore, we do not recommend fasting or herbs such as milk thistle.
Next, we addressed the tremors.  Most tremors are caused by toxins leeching into the brain, especially the substantia nigra, where the dopamine is made.  She was a travelling sales rep for many years and had to breathe in not only the extreme air pollution we have here in New Jersey, but also the chemicals which she was exposed to in her line of work.
So, we first addressed the underlying cause, which was toxins in the brain — and we gave her the herbs to pull out those toxins.  Next she was given herbs to heal the nerve tissue and the myelin sheath (the covering to the nerve), herbs to help her make more dopamine and we showed her foods which are nourishing to the brain.
In all of our patients, we address their underlying imbalances using this general protocol:  1) first identify and fix the underlying cause of the imbalance(s), 2) teach the patient how to eat correctly and show them proper daily routine (bedtime, etc.), and 3) teach them how to cleanse without creating a detox crisis.

Marissa for H. Pylori – January 14, 2014

This case history is an outstanding example of how we approach the physiology at the deepest level.  This little girl had an overgrowth of a bacteria called H. Pylori.  H. Pylori is a bacterium commonly found in the stomach.  Research shows that most ulcers — 80% of stomach ulcers and 90% of those in the duodenum, the upper end of the small intestine — develop because of infection with Helicobacter pylori (H.pylori).
She was given a round of antibiotics to kill the bacteria, but it didn’t help at all — bloodwork revealed the infection was still present.  She was offered another round of antibiotics, but her mother refused and sought out care in our office.
What really needed to be done was to fix the reason why the H. pylori was allowed to grow in the first place — the little girl had received immunizations and took antibiotics, which destroy the friendly bacteria in the gut.  The friendly bacteria prevents an overgrowth of any type of organism along the channel from the mouth down to the anus — strep, h. pylori, HPV, yeast, SIBO (small intestine bacteria overgrowth, etc.).  To use antibiotics in a case like this might kill the infection, but then it can grow right back.
We have a 3-fold approach to regrowing the friendly bacteria — it’s just like planting seeds in a garden — we use a formula that acts like a fertilizer, good seeds (probiotics) and then another formula to fix the lining of the gut, so the friendly bacteria can adhere and grow — much like bringing new topsoil into the garden.
We also fixed her sluggish bile flow –when you eat the stomach squirts out acid into the duodenum and the gall bladder squirts out bile, which neutralizes the acids before the digestive juices continue on down the digestive tract.  But all too often the bile can become thick, (since its main function is to emulsify fats, it can sometimes turn into a “sludge” and not flow properly), and when the bile doesn’t flow out of the gall bladder well, the digestive juices can become too acidic and burn the lining of the gut and the friendly bacteria.
So in this case, she was given herbs to promote the flow of bile out of the gall bladder and herbs to heal the lining of the gut.  Then once the friendly bacteria was allowed to grow, the h. pylori was gone!  We see many cases like this one — they respond so well to our very deep protocol.

Kasey’s Testimonial – Dr. Teitelbaum
treats her rheumatoid arthritis – January 18, 20014

At least 2/3 of the patients I see in my practice have one or more auto-immune diseases, such as this patient with Rheumatoid Arthritis.  This type of arthritis is different from osteo-arthritis, which stems from normal wear and tear of the joint.  With Rheumatoid Arthritis, the immune system is actively attacking the joints, creating extreme pain.  Modern medicine gives dangerous pharmaceuticals to shut down the immune system, which can create other serious diseases, such as lymphoma or tuberculosis.
What we do with these cases is to first address the reason why the immune system has lost its intelligence — it could be numerous factors, depending on the patient — dietary, late bedtime, lack of friendly bacteria (the friendly bacteria that resides in the gut keeps the immune system from attacking in this way, but most every patient with auto-immune diseases presents with lack of these little “yoginis” as Vaidya Mishra’s father aptly called them.)  Many times the liver is holding on to too many acidic toxins, creating overheating, which further pushes the immune system to attack the body.
So, then we have to cool the liver first, then slowly pull out the acidic toxins, being careful not to overheat the liver in the process, regrow the friendly bacteria, teach the patient how to eat an alkaline-based diet, and give the herbs to: 1) heal the joints, 2) calm down the immune system, bringing it to its normal function — not turning it off, 3) detoxify the joints and surrounding connective tissue.  Then the joint pain starts to go away,we slowly wean the patient off their pharmaceuticals, and they regain radiant health!
