Everything You Need for Dry, Inflamed, Tired Eyes – All 10% Off
Here is a Q&A with Vaidya Mishra from our SVA blog from many years ago.
It’s old but still so pertinent.
“I Have Dark Circles Around My Eyes Despite Yoga and SVA Diet…?”
“Hello – I know I’m working too much on computer, I am a female, I am quite stressed out at work and nowadays I’m seeing I’m developing dark circles around my eyes although I am on the SVA Diet and I do yoga regularly. Please let me know what to do for dark circles under my eyes?”
~ Cary T.
Vaidya Mishra replies:
If you have already checked things out with your medical doctor and there are no specific identifiable medical reasons for the dark circles under your eyes, then you can follow the following Ayurvedic steps and tips to help you.
Using the computer for long periods of time drains out the soma or cooling energy of the eyes, which the eyes need more of, because the eyes are a predominantly fiery organ – agneya organ – run by alochak pitta. So when you stare at the computer screen, or any other electronic device (TV, cell-phone, tablet, etc) for long periods of time, you are using up and burning the lunar energy, or soma, of your eyes, your eyes are now left depleted, and the agni of your eyes, further aggravated not only by soma depletion but by overexposure to electronic synthetic agni, gets further aggravated, creating the dark circles around your eyes.
Another point related to this is the EMF charge of these electronic devices disrupts the flow of pranic energy of your eyes. Due to the lack of restorative pranic circulation, dark circles also may emerge.
What can you do? According to SVA, the answer is simple:replenish the soma reservoirs of your eyes. How do you replenish the “soma reservoirs”?
Here are some SV Ayurveda recommendations
1) Get a double layered piece of cheesecloth or cotton cloth and cut it lengthwise into a band so as to cover your eyes – from temple to temple. Add a few drops of fresh water to the SVA Skin Clay Powder to make a thin but consistent paste. Take a spoonful of the paste and place on the cheesecloth strip – one spoon for each eye. Lay down and place the cotton strip with the clay on top of your eyes – the clay should be situated to fit the orb of your closed eyes. Make sure you do not get any clay into your eyes – it may tingle and burn a bit but will wash off easily with cool water. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes – you can take off earlier if your eyes start to feel cold.
2) Then rinse your eyes and face with warm water, dry with a cloth, and apply the ALA lotion – this cream is water (not lipid) based. You may feel a little tingling around your eyelids or surrounding areas – this is a good sign – do not worry It means it is activating and improving circulation. ALA (alpha lipoid acid) is highly effective for improving micro-circulation without heating the area. You can do some research on the latest scientific findings about ALA to learn more.
3) You can also use the SVA Triphala Ghee: apply it in the mornings, massage in and leave on. But ALA cream is the best product for this protocol and it will target your dark circles. Do this every night for 15 days. This protocol will also calm you down, you will feel very relaxed after a long day, it may even improve your sleep, and calm your mind.
4) Last but but not least – a very important point is to go to bed by 10pm! You are certainly aware of the different energies that are at play during the day. Between 10pm and 2am, we have an agneya period. If we are awake during this time slot, our pitta dosha is prone to going out of balance. If our body is enjoying somagenic sleep during this time, then the pitta organs in our bodies get to do their job without further aggravating our pitta dosha. This is why many people who have been going to bed late at night for years without necessarily overexposing their eyes to EMF devices also get dark circles around their eyes. Staying up late throws off all the pitta sub-doshas, just like over-exposing the eyes to too many EMF devices does. So make sure you target a 9:30pm bedtime so as to be asleep by 10pm.
REMEMBER: Mother Nature is your best healer!
Namaste…
Let’s Delve a Bit Further
into the Knowledge for Eyecare ….
During Summertime, with the increased heat in the environment, our bodies, hearts (and minds!) get overheated! We may experience sadness or find that we get angry too fast and too much, sometimes unnecessarily… In addition, we may experience trouble with digestion – crave too much sweet stuff (ice-cream!); and then overeat… Or skin breakouts – rashes, dry skin, dark spots, etc. Ayurveda teaches us that most of the organs that get impacted during the summertimes are run by pitta dosha – they respond to high heat and fire. So which organs are those primarily pitta dosha predominant? There are 5 of them:
1) the stomach or Pachak Pitta;
2) the emotional heart or Sadhak Pitta;
3) the eyes, or Alochak Pitta;
4) the liver or Ranjak Pitta;
5) the largest organ of our body, the skin or Bhrajak Pitta. So basically, the key is to address and make sure these aspects of our physiology are nurtured and kept in balance, especially during the summertime. But here’s an important detail: when we transition into Autumn, if we don’t cool things off, we will carry accumulated summer heat associated with any of these organs/tissues. What does this mean in practical terms? For example: during summertime pachak pitta gets imbalanced, and if we don’t follow a corrective diet, in Autumn, we will experience issues with our digestion – lack of appetite or too big insatiable appetite resulting in lots of cravings followed by heaviness after meals; also issues with bowel movement – loose bowels and/or constipation… When one pitta subdosha is out of balance, it impacts ALL of the other organs/subdoshas….
The eyes are a primarily agneya organ – they are an expression of the cosmic energy of agni. The inner physiology of the eyes is governed by “Alochak pitta.” Pitta dosha is made up of fire and water. The fire element in pitta has the quality of giving light. Fire burns! But fire gives light. Fire has the ability to transform and give light. This is why the eyes are an predominant organ prone to pitta imbalances.
But the optic nerve and the eyelids are governed by Vata dosha, while the overall lubrication of the inside of the eyelids, and the eyeballs are governed by kapha dosha. Vyana vata governs the optic nerve and eyelids, and Shleshak kapha lubricates the eyelids and eyeball. So whenever any formula for the eyes is put together, it should first be pitta pacifying: cooling. However, and at the same time, it should not be too cold so as not to aggravate Shleshaka kapha and Vyana vata.
So, if we have heat trapped in Alochak pitta, when we resume full-on work upon returning from our Summer vacations, we may feel our eyes are tired, or feel dry, our vision may feel weaker, etc. Ayurveda offers us a wealth of information, recipes, and herbal protocols. Vaidya Mishra made things easier for us and in addition formulated some unique SVA lotions and drops to helps us even further.
Did you know that Vaidya Mishra’s
Soma Netra Eyedrops are a best-selling item on chandika.com? They help cool off and lubricate dry tired eyes immediately during the day so you can continue your work! But there are other protocols you can do to deeply nourish and balance the doshas in your eyes. Triphala Ghee is one such product that can be used at night-time for full restoration.
Vaidya Mishra’s unique SVA Triphala Ghee formula for the eyes has probiotic ghee as its primary ingredients. Ghee is cooling and lubricating, but unlike other fats, it is also “agneya” – it has enough agni or fire molecules which make it an ideal fat that does not freeze our channels like other fats. Triphala is an ancient formula consisting of 3 fruits – “tri” for three, and “phala” for fruit. It is known for being 3 dosha pacifying. Not only that, but it also detoxes and rejuvenates. It has “shamana” or pacifying, “shodhana” or detoxifying, and “rasayana” or rejuvenating effect for all 3 body types and imbalance tendencies.
In the ayurvedic tradition, triphala has been used extensively for the eyes for both detoxification and rejuvenation. The unique combination of the 3 fruits – Haritaki (Terminalia chebula), Bhibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica) and Amla (Phyllanthus emblica)- has an enhanced role in this SVA formulation since it is combined with Mum’s Probiotic Ghee. The process of making this ghee adds to the medicinal properties of both the ghee and the 3 fruits: according to an ancient recipe handed over for generations in Vaidya’s SVA lineage, all the lipid soluble molecules of the fruits, along with very little water soluble molecules, are captured through a unique SVA method of preparation.
In order to ensure added pitta pacification for extreme pitta aggravation or pitta predominant people – since even Triphala may sometimes provoke high pitta – Vaidya Mishra has added rose-buds to the formula, much like his unique High Pitta Triphala capsules – for oral use only.
Of course, due to wear and tear, our eyes need additional care as we age. But we need to take even more care of them if we use them extensively for computer work. Long hours of exposure to electrical devices that contain more “agni,” such as computer screens, can have a drying effect on the eyes. When we use our eyes for extended periods of time, then Shleshak kapha goes out of balance or dries out. Shleshak kapha is the balancing factor for Alochak pitta and Vyana vata. Alochak pitta and Vyana vata become imbalanced when Shleshak kapha gets aggravated from over-exposure to EMF devices.
Triphala Grit or Triphala Ghee supports your eyes through helping restore Shleshak kapha, soothing and cooling Alochak pitta, and nourishing Vyana vata.
Ingredient-wise benefits:
Haritaki (Terminalia chebula): the molecule of Haritaki transdermally detoxifies because of its shodhana effect. In addition, it also carries a rasayana effect that rejuvenates the eye and the muscles around the eye area, nourishing the nerves as well. The astringent property of Haritaki pacifies the “acidity” or “high pitta” that may be accumulated in and around the eye area, binding the toxic micro-molecules.
Bhibhitaki (Terminalia bellerica): is known for pacifying the “shleshma” (shleshak kapha plus ama combination). Lipid soluble micro-molecules of Bhibhitaki break down and disperse the molecules of “shleshma” so that the Haritaki molecules can easily capture them and evacuate them.
Amla (Phyllantus emblica): has a very specific “prabhava” or subtle post-digestive effect called ‘chakchushya’ – which means overall inside-out nourishment that rejuvenates the eyes. So it’s an ideal fruit for the eyes, either orally or transdermally as in this Triphala Grit.
Rose buds carry a calming and nourishing property, specifically for pitta. They have an overall pacifying effect for the eyes, including the optic nerve.
Probiotic ghee: as discussed, ghee does not only carry the ideal blend of Soma and Agni, but probiotic ghee is additionally lively, nurturing and supporting, without clogging and freezing. It is light and supplies the benefits of the three fruits to the eye area transdermally for immediate absorption and benefit.
After a few applications of this SVA Triphala grit, with all its balancing and soothing properties, your eyes will feel relaxed and lubricated. This Triphala Ghee will enhances sleep, as it gently takes away any dryness in and around the eyelids and eye area. This is a short-term benefit. Long term benefits will be: rejuvenation and detox of your eyes and eye area.
Directions: before going to bed, take a small amount of Triphala ghee with the use of a q-tip or cotton swab and apply on and around your eyelids, eyebrows, and temple area. Use very little. After applying, spread out with your fingers, and massage in with gentle circular motion. Then close your eyes and lie down for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes wipe out all the ghee with lukewarm water cotton pads or a cotton towel. Make sure to remove all physical residues of the ghee. It is not necessary to keep any ghee left behind, as within 15 minutes of application, all micro-molecules of the ghee have already been absorbed and used up by your skin. Any residual ghee may cause toxicity by blocking your pores.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have a medical condition or are experiencing any eye symptoms or problems, do not use Triphala Ghee. Check with your medical physician immediately for proper care and treatment.

This week we celebrate the Vedic “festival of lights,” Deepawali – also known as Diwali. This is a “Hindu Festival” where the practice of lighting lamps symbolizes the “victory of light over darkness”…
In the subcontinent of India, different cities and areas celebrate this beautiful festival of lights in different ways:
in Bengal it is known as Mahanisha – to commemorate the appearance of Maa Kali with 64,000 yoginis;
in Maharashtra they celebrate diwali with the tradition of ‘Narak Chaturdashi,’ which signifies the victory of Lord Krishna over the demon Narakasura. People wake up early and take an oil bath before sunrise. Homes are cleaned and decorated with intricate rangoli designs.
in Hyderabad, the tradition is to wash buffaloes on Diwali day;
in Mysore, women apply Sandalwood paste on the foreheads of men and children, and narrate the stories Narakasur;
in Odisha, jute sticks are burnt in order to honor the ancestors;
in Goa, a big statue of Narakasur is also burnt;
in Kumaon, there is a very special tradition in which sandalwood paste is used to make the effigy of Mahalaxmi and placed on copper plates and covered with a canopy of sugar canes;
in Ayodhya Diwali celebrates the return of Sri Raam. This is the ancient traditional origin of this celebration.
Diwali is a five-day festival that is observed 20 days after Navaratri – the 9 nights of Shakti culminating in the 10th day of victory or Vijayadashmi. It is really the celebration of the return of Purusha Sri Raam, along with his consort, Sita, and brother Lakshman, accompanied by Hanuman, back to Ayodhya after 14 years spent in exile. When the party flies back home on the “pushpak vimaan” – the “airplane” that belonged to Raavan’s brother, Kuber – they can see from above the whole city of Ayodhya lit with oil lamps to welcome their much-awaited king and queen back from their tribulations.
Did you know that this day also inaugurates a new era, a period of great dharmic righteous living? Sri Raam spends 14 years battling and vanquishing asuras and demons and restoring peace and balance on earth for all. In particular, he vanquishes the most powerful of them all, the 10-headed ruler of the 3 worlds, Raavan. This victory is commemorated as dussehra – that is: “killer of the 10 heads.” With his return to Ayodhya, Sri Raam re-establishes the rule of dharma – as narrated in Valmiki’s Ramayana.
The Ramayana is a timeless story for all of humanity. It reminds us to live life in righteousness, no matter how hard our dharma – duties – are. That is the core message of the Ramayana: it is the story of a noble prince, Sri Raam, and how he did not evade his princely duties, despite the tragic unfolding: is the story of sticking to one’s dharma first and foremost. Because dharma does not mean you will live in comfort and happiness in the pursuit of your desires… It means you will do what you know is meant for you to do as your duty as part of this great cosmic reality - whether it’s what YOU had planned for your life or not… Sri Raam goes into the forest, exiled, even though his coronation was meant for that exact same morning. He is stripped of his royal garb and title, and yet he willingly puts on the hermit’s shirt and wonders in the jungles barefoot, as a mere mortal. He upholds his responsibilities and dharma. Vaidya Mishra used to remind us: “when you do what you know is right, you will only desire what you deserve”… How do you know what is right to do? Simply follow the ONE AND ONLY GOLDEN RULE: treat others as you would treat yourself! Then you will be aligned with your dharma…
This diwali, may we all aspire to find and live in accordance with our dharma – no matter how hard the path may be… Let’s turn our gaze inward, to the heart center, where the light of the atman, our soul, shines brightest, to hear our dharma beckoning us.
Shubh Deepawali – wishing one and all an auspicious Diwali – Namaste!

This is an ancient classical formula that comes in 6 different variations. My father, Vaidya Kameshwar Mishra, used to favor one of these only. It’s the one that I also like to use. In the classical texts, it is called “dadimastak churn” or a churna (herbal powdered mix) of “dadi” or pomegranate, and “astak” means eight. So the name highlights the fact that the formula primarily contains pomegranate plus eight specific herbs/plants in powder form. This is a proven ancient formula for amlapitta, or sour stomach. Now, under its new SVA name, Pro-Pachaka, you will find it delivers powerful support to enhance the interaction of enzymes with the food. This tablet is tri-doshic. It will help clear up udana – the areas of the chest & throat; balance samana – in the stomach & small intestine; & pacify apana or the colon area, without heating or aggravating pitta. Purified trikatu powder (pippali, sunthi, & long pepper) is used in this tablet. Trikatu can be very heating (agneya). This formula uses purified trikatu – trikatu is cooled by soaking the raw ingredients in takra (ayurvedic buttermilk) before making the powder.
Ingredients
• Pomegranate (Punica granatum): Supports the interactions of enzymes with food. Great anti-oxidant – wherever amlapitta is present we find amavisha. Pomegranate removes amavisha and supports/restores the mucous membranes of the stomach, lungs, and colon.
• Vanshlochan (Bambusa Arundinacea): Neutralizes acid but carries a good balance of soma and agni. It’s tri-doshic. Vanshlochan can ‘soak’ kledaka kapha of the stomach if it is too high.
• Nagkeshar (Mesuaferra): Enhances enzymatic secretions and interactions
• Ajmoda (Carum roxburghianum): Supports enzymatic secretions and interactions without heating things up
• Pippali or Long pepper (Piper longum): Mild agneya to balance enzymes and open physical channels
• Sunthi: Ayurvedic ginger for pitta. Opens the channels and increases intelligence of enzymatic interactions
• Black pepper (Piper nigrum): Mild agneya to balance enzymes and open channels, support the flow of bile and digestion
• Chavya (Piper cubeba): Highly aromatic and appetite enhancer plant that helps unblock enzymatic channels, enhancing the interaction between enzymes and the food, without heating up the system. It acts as a great carrier (yogvahi) for pomegranate
• Cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum): Agneya to balance kledaka and open the channels
Organic Sugar Crystals: Cools and balances heat of the other ingredients
• Organic Sugar Crystals: Cools and balances heat of the other ingredients
Have you ever wonderful why and where do seasons comes from? The short answer is: Mother Earth circumambulates the sun and the seasons are born. But why and how?Earth’s axis is tilted, and as it orbits the sun, different hemispheres receive more direct sunlight at different times of the year. When a hemisphere is tilted toward the Sun, it receives more direct rays and experiences warmer temperatures and longer days (summer). When that same hemisphere is tilted away from the Sun, the sunlight is less direct, leading to cooler temperatures and shorter days (winter).
But let’s take this thought further: more or less sunlight results in more or less heat, which results in different natural climates that host different vegetation and animal cycle lives. Just like different locations carry different characteristics based on how much sunlight (and therefore heat/agni) they receive, just so, different seasons of the year have a different impact on our bodies. The relationship between the Sun – agni – and Earth – soma, is akin to the relationship between the Sun and our bodies which also carry Soma….
Autumn is when the earth moves away from its proximity to the sun, and we receive less agni. The primary organ that gets impacted by this is our stomach, our digestive system. In addition, our physical channels, shrotas, shrink.
Because of this and other factors, in Autumn, we inevitably have impaired digestion: our cravings increase as the temperatures cool off, and our digestive fire is at its lowest. And then what? You guessed it: this is the perfect scenario for making toxins from our food – regardless of how careful we are; AND this is also a primary reason why get the infamous “seasonal cold.” In the ayurvedic tradition, this is why it is recommended to do a “seasonal cleanse” at this seasonal juncture, or “ritu sandhi.” What should you do? Go easy on heavy rich foods, initiate elimination, shift dietary habits, etc. The primary objective of a seasonal is to stoke and reset the digestive fire.
Don’t have time to do detox, or not sure how to do it? No worries! Here is a balanced formula made by Vaidya Mishra that does just that: resets your digestive fire, or pachak agni.
In addition to using this product in any form, the next best thing you can do is NOT ingest food items that you know can be too heavy and may cause toxicity in your body. Summer is over so you can safely eliminate ice-cream, excessive sweet treats, too many carbs – bread, pasta; rich heavy cheeses, pizza, etc. Focus on light, nourishing, warm, easy to digest meals – vegetables cooked with easy to digest delicious grains such as: quinoa, millet, amaranth, etc.
Look for our newsletter next week for delicious detox recipes and tips…. In the meantime, Dr Teitelbaum shares invaluable details about why whole foods are better then nutraceuticals, specially in Autumn…

Whole Foods Over
Nutraceuticals
~ Dr Marianne Teitelbaum
Many people are discovering the health benefits of berberine, since it can help to lower blood sugar, and is used for inflammatory conditions and a hyper-reactive immune system. Lots of people have also found out about caprylic acid and how it helps to kill off a candida albicans yeast infection. And health food stores are carrying butyrate as the public finds out the benefits of this amazing compound. And a large segment of the population consumes synthetic vitamins on a regular basis.
But if you’ve been following me and listening to my videos, reading my books or hear me speak in classes and podcasts, you’ll know by now that in Ayurveda we don’t recommend taking the remedies in this way, where you isolate the active ingredient out of the remedy and synthetically make it in a lab. The reason we don’t recommend taking these types of supplements is because they are lacking the prana, or the life energy they receive which is found from the sun and the moon hitting the herb or the food as it’s growing outside.
There are even more reasons not to take the synthetic versions. Let’s take a look at what some of the pioneers in the field of nutrition had to say about these man-made nutraceuticals.
Dr. Royal Lee, Founder of Standard Process Labs was a prominent figure in the field of nutrition and a strong advocate for whole, natural foods. In fact his supplements were made out of food and not isolated ingredients.
He spoke out often against the synthetic production of vitamins and other nutrients and the idea that isolated nutrients could replace the complex nutrition found in whole foods.
Here is a quote taken from his early writings, several decades ago: “Synthetic vitamins are not true vitamins at all. They are chemical compounds that are created in laboratories and are not capable of performing the complex biological functions of natural vitamins. The body cannot utilize synthetic vitamins in the same way it can utilize the vitamins from food.”
He argued that synthetic vitamins are usually isolated from their original complex matrix in food, which means that they lack the co-factors and other compounds that help the body absorb and use them effectively.
He further stated, “Whole food concentrates contain all the factors necessary for the utilization of nutrients. They have an inherent wisdom, a synergy, that is lost in isolated or synthetic products.”
This inherent wisdom he speaks of is the prana which we recognize in Ayurveda. This pranic energy gives intelligence to our cells, so if the remedy coming in is lacking in intelligence, the cells get confused and don’t know how to function properly.
Dr. Lee often emphasized that food is more than just a collection of vitamins, minerals, and calories. Whole Foods come with a host of supportive nutrients, enzymes, and trace elements that help the body absorb and process the nutrients efficiently.
He spoke out against the dangers of isolated nutrients, stating, “The body doesn’t recognize isolated synthetic vitamins as food. It treats them as foreign substances, which can result in imbalance and toxic buildup.”
When I hear this statement I think of all the patients I have seen through the years who took so many tablets each day of synthetic vitamins, creating lots of liver toxicity and I even saw many patients who developed high liver enzymes, indicating that the liver was under stress from too many toxins going through it. The enzymes came down after they discontinued their nutraceuticals. I even saw patients develop kidney damage from all the supplements they took over their lifetime.
Dr. Lee also spoke out about the synergy contained in foods:
He said, “The vitamins in food work together as part of a complex biological system, where each nutrient influences the absorption and function of the others. Synthetic vitamins, however, are separate, unconnected entities that fail to participate in the natural nutrient synergy.”
I would add here that the same thing can be said about herbs (as in the case of berberine) and food (as in the case of caprylic acid and butyrate).
He went on to say that whole foods are far superior to synthetic isolates as they contain the full spectrum of nutrients that nature intended, in the right balance, and in a form the body can utilize.”
His stance on synthetic vitamins was ahead of its time, especially considering how common synthetic vitamin supplementation is today. His writings date back to the research he was actively involved in around the 1930’s to the 1960’s but many of his ideas were published in the 1940’s and 1950’s.
There were other pioneers in nutrition who also recommended eating whole foods vs taking synthetic supplements. One of those was Dr. Weston Price, a dentist and nutritionist who studied traditional diets and their relationship to health. He traveled around the world in the 1930’s and studied various indigenous populations and found time and again that those populations who ate whole foods had far superior health than those living on processed foods.
Dr. Edward Howell, an American biochemist and nutritionist who studied enzymes and their role in human health was highly critical of the synthetic vitamins that began to flood the market in the mid-20th century. He argued that synthetic vitamins were not biologically active in the same way that natural vitamins in whole foods were, and he also warned that they could lead to imbalances in the body.
He emphatically stated, “Enzymes are the catalyst for every chemical reaction in the body, and synthetic vitamins cannot replace the natural vitamins found in living foods.”
Dr. Bernard Jensen was another pioneer in holistic health and was skeptical of synthetic vitamins, believing that they were often harmful or at best ineffective. He was quoted as saying, “Synthetic vitamins are poor substitutes for the real, naturally occurring vitamins found in whole foods. They lack the supporting factors that help the body absorb and utilize them.”
Dr. Fritz-Albert Popp was a German biophysicist and researcher credited with pioneering the field of biophotonics. He discovered that living cells emit light (biophotons) which play a crucial role in the regulation of cellular function. He too was highly critical of synthetic nutrients, particularly because he said they lacked the energetic quality of food grown in natural, healthy environments. He argued that synthetic vitamins could disrupt the balance of the body’s bioenergetic field.
This also parallels our thinking in Ayurveda since prana is just that — it’s light — the light from the sun and moon charging and absorbing into the food and herbs as they are growing out in the fields. And it’s this vibration of nature that gets absorbed into our cells, imparting vibrant life energy to the whole cellular system.
He stated, “The energetic qualities of food are as important as its biochemical properties. Synthetic nutrients lack the subtle energies that nature provides.”
Dr. Francis M. Pottenger was an American physician best known for his studies on the effects of diet on health. His work was influential in the natural health community, showing the importance of whole, unprocessed foods for maintaining health across generations. He was a critic of modern processed foods and synthetic supplements. He observed that when animals were fed processed foods or synthetic nutrients they developed various health problems such as infertility, bone deformities and immune dysfunction.
Here is a quote from Dr. Pottenger, “The health of animals, as well as humans, depends on the quality of the whole food consumed, not isolated nutrients in synthetic form.”
And there are others. But I think you get the idea. These pioneers of the previous century were able to cognize what the ancient rishis of India always understood — that our health was dependent on the pranic energy found in nature. Once we stray from this foundational truth our health may suffer. Yes, we might get some initial benefit from taking a synthetic supplement, but in the long run our health may deteriorate if too many are taken for too long.
So it is best to get your vitamins, minerals and amino acids from whole foods. Get your berberine from herbs such as barberry or daruharidra, get butyrate from eating fruits, vegetables, grains, beans, raw honey and ghee, and get your caprylic acid from goat’s milk. Don’t be tempted to rush out and buy the synthetic isolated synthetic versions of these foods. You will be much healthier if you don’t.
I hope this information helps you as you strive to eat the healthiest diet possible in order to regain and maintain radiant health.
Thank you,
Dr. Marianne Teitelbaum

Thursday October 2nd, 2025 was Vijayadashami – marking the victory of good over evil. This is an annual vedic celebration that happens on the tenth day of Navaratri. The name itself is derived from the Sanskrit words for “victory” and “tenth” – it marks the victory of the feminine cosmic energy over disruptive destructive forces. This festival also commemorates the victory of Lord Rama over the demon king Ravana, symbolizing the defeat of negative qualities and the upholding of righteousness. The festival is a conclusion to the Autumn Navaratri celebration. It marks a new beginning for all those who partake in it.
So what happens during Navaratri?
During 9 days, special vedic verses and chants are recited along with a ritual fire into which offerings are made. The vedic chants serve a purificatory purpose, but they also recount the heroic battles that the Shakti fights against a-suras – disharmonious entities – to put an end to negativity in the world.
Daily Homams were conducted with expert vedic pundits. A homam, or havan, is a sacred fire ritual that accompanies vedic recitations with offerings like ghee, herbs, and grains into the consecrated fire. These 9 days are an opportunity for all those who wish to, to attend a homam and through the ritual remove all that may be hindering their progress. In return, they receive purification and are able to grow and progress in life.
This year, the vedic chants and accompanying rituals were conducted by expert pundits here in LA. Many of you signed up and sent in donations – thank you! You will be receiving some items from the puja in the mail in a few days.
At the end of each of the 9 days as well as on the 10th day, Kumkum Archana was done to Shakti – a vedic ritual in which kumkum, a red powder made of turmeric and other sacred ayurvedic ingredients, is offered to Shakti – the cosmic feminine energy, while reciting mantras for blessings, protection, and well-being. The Kumkum Archana was offered along with the recitation of the 1000 names of the divine feminine.
Happy Vijayadashmi to one and all – may the vedic new year bring us peace, prosperity, and empower us with divine cosmic Shakti energy.

Sterling Silver is a great metal used in Ayurveda – internally as well as externally. It supplies a cooling, calming, grounding energy. Lighting a flame in a silver lamp, using a silver yantra or numerical image, reciting your mantra with a silver lotus bead mala, these are all good practices that carry a high vibration. We offer many silver items in our online store. Gift them to family or for yourself!
Sattwic Silver Items to Boost your Vedic Recitations & Meditation
Vaidya Mishra recommended wearing blue lotus bead mala-s (beaded-necklaces) set in silver. Blue lotus beads are highly auspicious for yogic practices. They are full of soma and grounding and calming to the mind. The blue lotus is a “somya” plant that helps cool our mind, emotions, as well as the blood. In this age of excessive EMF, stress, bad diets, and global catastrophes, having more soma can benefit all of us! The 54 lotus beads are set in 9.25 stertling silver. You can use them to recite a mantra or just wear them 24/7 to help cool-off and balance and protect!
A large silver ghee lamp (on the right) that comes with a small jar of ghee and 10 cotton wicks. The light of the ghee lamp is very auspicious. It is also very balancing for alochak pitta: light your lamp and stare at it for 5-8 minutes then close your eyes and meditate or lie down and rest….
A 5 stick incense holder with attached silver small silver tray. No yogic practice is perfect without incense. SVA incense sticks are 100% toxin/chemical free, hand-rolled with real ayurvedic herbs and petals. You will smell the difference!
No puja can be complete without a Kuber Kolam: the mystical mathematical yantra that invites Laxmi Devi’s opulence. Part of the Vastu vedic science, place this yantra in the North East portion of your home, on a small table with a dedicated space. You may keep fresh flowers there as well. Light a ghee lamp once a week on Fridays to invite opulence and good fortune.
Sri Devi Yantra
A yantra is a Vedic geometric design or mystical diagram inscribed on paper, etched in metal, or fashioned three dimensionally. Yantras are often associated with a particular deity (law of nature) and used to enhance meditation; protect from harmful influences; develop particular powers; attract wealth or success, etc.
The Shri Yantra is called the “mother of all yantras” because all other yantras derive from it geometrically. It represents the cosmos at the macrocosmic level and the human body at the microcosmic level. This yantra’s nine interlocking triangles centered around the bindu (central point) consists of five downward pointing triangles, representing Shakti (cosmic female principle) and four upright triangles, representing Shiva (cosmic male principle). The nine interlocking triangles form forty-three small triangles each housing a presiding divine energy associated with particular aspects of existence.
The Shri Yantra gives a vision of the totality of existence. Contemplating the Shri Yantra helps us rediscover and experience our divine source.
Now you can wear the Sri Devi Yantra daily with our Silver Yantras! They come with a 15-inch long mango-orange cotton thread).

The Sanskrit word, trupti – तृप्ति– means contentment, fulfillment. It is a state of blissful being in which we feel physically, emotionally, and mentally satiated, a state in which we experience no lack of anything. Experiencing trupti is the ideal we strive for, but as we all know, in life, stuff happens! Because we live in time… Time runs our bodies, minds, and hearts: we are – all -and everything is – always – in constant flux. And unless we can arrest this temporal flux, we have to adjust and address daily and seasonal imbalances that result from the flow of time…
In this sense, cravings are not inherently bad… In fact, as modern science acknowledges and Ayurveda teaches us, cravings may be a signal from our body, a “cry for help” – to address nutritional or psychological deficiencies.
By the end of Summer, after a few months of over-exposure to warmer temperatures and sunlight, our bodies are in high pitta dosha mode – an excess of heat and heat related imbalances that impact our mental and emotional state as well as our physical health. We may feel sad, sluggish, or even excessively stressed…
But more than anything we need to pay attention to digestion and address it first because it is the root cause. End of Summer, high pitta dosha impacts our metabolism, literally setting our cravings on fire! You may find yourself excessively craving cooling/cold/somagenic foods and drinks, and sugar! Lots and lots of it! And sugar is an important component for our metabolism… Vaidya Mishra used to say, “don’t eliminate sugar or the sweet taste from your diet; make sure you are choosing good healthy sugar instead of the highly processed type… Choose naturally occuring sugars in fruits, vegetables and dairy. Naturally occuring sugars also supply necessary additional nutrients and fiber….”
Our bodies are constantly 24/7 carrying out basic metabolic functions to keep things going. Essential processes like breathing, blood circulation, digestion, hormonal regulation, and body temperature control are ALL dependent on an optimal metabolic system. Our bodies cannot survive without proper food – unless one is an accomplished yogi or yogini! Nor can our bodies function optimally without the conversion of that food into usable energy as well as building-blocks for growth and repair. Glucose or sugar, plays a central role here, because our body breaks down food – carbohydrates, fats, and proteins – into smaller components like glucose, which is then used for energy in cellular processes.
When, for any reason – external or internal – metabolic digestive processes are disrupted then the result is a “metabolic disorder” – a situation where we have too much or not enough of necessary substances. For example: diabetes is a metabolic disorder that affects the body’s ability to properly use and store energy from food.
In short, the point is: sugar metabolism is one of the most crucial process we ALL need to pay attention to. Ayurveda offers us deep insights into how to address this. Simply put: when food is not properly metabolized – digested and absorbed – our bodies will send signals as cravings… So the first things is to make sure we are able to optimize digestion in order to control sugar cravings…
This herbal tea was specially formulated by Vaidya Mishra to support and strengthen the metabolic processes of the body, and particularly help with sugar cravings.
It consists of a blend of 16 herbs and spices that work together to support the metabolization of carbohydrates and sugar, helping the body convert these into energy.
Trupti Tea carries a subtle aroma and a delightful bitter-pungent taste. It helps enhance tissue transformation – dhatu paka धातुपका – that gives the experience of contentment and satiety or trupti.
“Soma tea” or white tea leaves (Camellia sinensis): are rich in soma, with minimal caffeine and a delicious addition to support flow of energy in the shrotas or physical channels;
Gymnema (Gymnema sylvestre): enhances and balances sugar, carbohydrate, and fat metabolism;
Pink Rose buds (Rosa centifolia: provide cooling and relaxing properties to reactive pitta dosha and help reset the emotions;
Indian Kino (Pterocarpus marsupium): supports the pancreas;
Neem (Azadirachta indica): supports liver detox;
Harsingar flower (Nyctanthes arbortristis): supports the nerve endings;
DGL (Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice): Cools off excess pitta by balancing and neutralizing excess stomach acidity;
Coriander (Coriandrum sativum): cools off and flushes out accumulated toxins;
Ginger (Zingiber officinale): enhances and sharpens digestion;
Blue lotus root (Nymphaea caerulea): supports coordination between heart and mind.
Directions
Boil 1/2 tsp. of the tea blend for 3-5 minutes in 12 oz. Water. Filter and cool off. Sip slowly and enjoy! If you are craving sweets – have a cup! It will help curb the craving. If you already had lots of sweets, ice-cream, and carbs, have a cup to help digest and metabolize and take away the heavy feeling and guilt!
This tea is great to use regularly as a digestive after meals – lunch or dinner. You may also have a cup first thing in the morning if you are not feeling hungry and need to re-awaken or sharpen a sluggish appetite.

Blissful Awakenings: One Spray Anytime-All-the-Time! – 10% Off
Towards the end of Summer, as the Autumn equinox nears, things shift in Nature impacting our bodies and minds… The autumnal equinox is literally an astronomical event where the sun appears to cross the celestial equator resulting in a nearly equal 12-hour day and 12-hour night across the globe. After this, the days get cooler and shorter as we get less and less sun.
In Ayurveda, this event is called “ritu-sandhi” – it’s the transition from one season to another. Ritusandhi calls for a shift in our diets, routine, and overall daily activities as our body and its metabolism is also impacted by the sun. Ignoring this shift can result not only in the seasonal cold, but also deeper physical and mental “imbalances” such as: elevated anxiety and/or irritability; disrupted sleep; imbalanced digestion; skin rashes; migraines; overall inflammation; digestive issues; etc.
According to Ayurveda, if the imbalances of pitta dosha are left unchecked, as the weather cools down and our physical channels shrink, heat may get trapped and all our symptoms may get aggravated and interfere with our daily activities.
Some key things that you can do is:
Diet: shift your food choices from cold, sugary, and raw to warm, cooked and liquid. No more ice-cream – no exceptions!
Taste: make sure you incorporate a good sour taste in your diet – favor lime over lemons – to help balance and re-ignite digestive fire or agni;
Support digestion by eating a piece of sweet pineapple or papaya after your meals: they contain digestive enzymes and will keep things moving;
Stay hydrated: use Vaidya Mishra’s rehydration drink recipe – you will love how delicious and satisfying it is!
These are some basic guidelines to get you started. We will share more information in our upcoming newsletters. SV Ayurveda offers us great and profound insights into the workings of the body to help us heal, balance, and restore wellness and bliss in our daily lives. Even though modern science has supplied us with priceless discoveries about the workings of our bodies and minds, scientific research still is and remains always a “work-in-progress” that slowly gets its bearings through trial and error. That is why it is even more joyful when the latest research and health findings coincide with and confirm the ancient precepts of ayurvedic teachings. In this newsletter, we cover one such new discovery: the crucial role of Butyrate. Protein is such an important building block for our health – whether from animal or vegetarian source. But did you know what a crucial role plant fiber plays in the health of our gut and our entire body? Scroll down to discover a whole new level of scientific confirmation of ancient ayurvedic dietary knowledge with Dr Teitelbaum. Namaste!
~ Butyrate ~
New Findings on the Health Benefits of Plant-based Diets!
Dr Marianne Teitelbaum
There’s a lot of talk about butyrate these days. Let’s see why that is and also let’s discuss some important things you need to know about this very important compound.
When we eat fiber, much of it is indigestible which means that it makes its way undigested through the small intestine and then into the large intestine. But in the large intestine or colon, we have friendly bacteria which eat these fibers and release what are called short chain fatty acids, or SCFA’s. There are several of these that get produced, like acetate, propionate and butyrate, and some others, but we especially focus on butyrate since it has some special capabilities above and beyond what the others can do. We ourselves can’t make these so we depend on our gut bacteria to make these for us.
BUT…we must eat fiber in order to make these! Our ancestors ate mostly plant fibers because they can’t run away from you, unlike animals, which they did eat, but it was only occasionally, since they are hard to catch. So the friendly bacteria in our gut evolved to eat these plant fibers — from fruits, vegetables, grains, and legumes.
However, in modern cultures much of the diet now is lacking fiber, so what happens? The butyrate producing bugs starve to death.
So why do we need to be concerned about how much butyrate we make in our gut? What exactly does butyrate do for our health?
Well, for one thing, butyrate keeps the junctions tight in the gut lining. Why is this important you might ask? Because with stress, and antibiotic use, the junctions loosen, causing leaky gut, creating an intense immune response as infections start to grow and leak into the bloodstream along with dangerous toxins which were meant to go into the bowel movement. Both of these conditions create inflammation, leading to every disease you can think of.
And if that’s not enough, the butyrate helps the immune system determine whether it needs to launch an attack or not. Butyrate is one of those signals that our body has evolved which works by communicating constantly with our immune system. It’s called cross-talk and it is one of the compounds that can talk to the bacterial strains to determine is everything is ok, or if an immune response needs to be launched. In other words, it determines if there are enough good strains there and if not, is there a disaster in the making where the gut becomes overrun by pathogens that could cause infections which could kill you.
And it gets even better!
Inside our gut we have a thick barrier of mucus called the mucin layer which protects us from pathogens that would love to get through the gut lining and into the blood to infect us. There is a very specific species that lives inside the mucus called Akkermansia Muciniphila (this means mucin lover). These live in the mucus layer and they produce acetate, propionate and butyrate. So when you eat plant fibers which travel undigested all the way through the small intestine to the colon you will be feeding the butyrate producing bugs.
The butyrate bugs release the butyrate and the butyrate soaks from the lumen (the inner part of the intestines) into the mucus layer. But it can go even deeper…it can soak down even further and reach the blood where the white blood cells are. And the white blood cells have evolved receptor cell sites specifically for…butyrate!
This is astonishing because our body cannot create butyrate so why would our white blood cells have a receptor for something we don’t make? Because we co-evolved with these butyrate bugs. For thousands and thousands of years people have been eating plant foods so we’ve had this constant supply of butyrate which allowed our immune system to evolve to the point where the white blood cells have these receptors specifically for butyrate.
Now here is a very important point: pathogens do not make butyrate so this means that if there’s plenty of butyrate present soaking down into the blood then this tells your body that everything is going OK — there’s no pathogens and all the good guys are in place which release butyrate.
But what would happen if the butyrate levels were to drop down to the point where they’re not saturating the blood.? They’re not then telling the immune system that everything is going OK. This triggers the immune system because it now starts to think that there must be a problem. Because if there is no butyrate there and butyrate is only made from the friendly guys, that you are being overrun by pathogens that have overgrown.
So basically we have this alarm system to tell your immune system that if the butyrate begins to drop then it means you are overrun with problematic bugs.
Our human evolution never counted on the fact that humans would stop eating fiber-rich foods. So now, in this modern era of processed and fast foods, we are basically turning on the immune system because by accident we are taking away the alert system that tells the immune system that all is well.
We’re starving out all the butyrate producing bugs which not only keep our junctions tight but also alert the immune system that there’s a problem.
Because the body is now on constant alert the inflammatory response kicks up and the immune response also revs up, causing a self-inflicted immune response.
But butyrate also does something else that’s incredible! Researchers have now discovered that it turns on the production of mucin, the very barrier that we need to keep harmful pathogens from seeping into the bloodstream. Butyrate literally keeps up the mucus barrier which supports the Akkermansia. The mucin, a slippery secretion which is the key component of mucus, supports Akkermansia so this entire system of gut mucus, tight junctions and signaling to the white blood cells are all made possible by one thing: plant-based foods: fruits, vegetables, grains, and legumes.
Here is a list of foods which are butyrate-friendly:
Pectin: in this category are apples, grapefruit, carrots, blackberries, plums, apricots, cherries, raspberries, long berries, currants, beans, peaches and sweet potatoes.
Resistant Starches: navy beans, kidney beans, black beans, lima beans, legumes, pearl barley, chickpeas, peas, barley, lentils, rye and millet.
Anthocyanins (purple and red foods): blackberries, blueberries, cherries, plums, purple sweet potatoes, black currants, arena berries, pomegranate, raspberries, Maqui berries, purple cauliflower, purple asparagus, dragon fruit, red onions and black beans
Oat bran
In addition to these butyrate producing high fiber foods, you can also produce lots of butyrate by consuming raw honey and ghee.
One final and important note! Do NOT take all the butyrate supplements which are out there on the market. They are synthetically made and do not contain the life energy that is found in foods and herbs. As a result, they have an unintelligent effect on the cells of the body and are somewhat toxic to the liver since they are the synthetic toxic version of the real thing found in food and herbs.
I hope you found this information useful to help you understand a little more about the gut microbiome. I will be writing about this and much more in my upcoming book on Ayurvedic child rearing, which will be out early 2026.

In the United States, the Labor Day long weekend marks the end of Summer fun! Schools resume, and regular workload is also on the rise. Many take a last mini-vacation before settling in for heavier responsibilities. But this is the worst time to do so, unless you take a step back and balance your doshas! You can ease your way into a more demanding work routine by making a few ayurvedic dietary and lifestyle changes to help maximize your energy in this transitional period – Summer to Autumn.
This seasonal transition is also ideal for detox the ayurvedic shastras teach us. Detox does NOT mean heavy-duty Panchakarma or ultra-demanding protocols. It can mean something as simple as avoiding salt in your dinner meals; or completely cutting out sugar – replace with raw honey and/or lots of sweet juicy fruits; trying to go to bed earlier and waking up earlier to realign your body’s circadian rhythms with sunrise; taking one day a week (on the weekends) to stay away from EMF devices and giving your eyes, your fingers, your brain, a much needed break… But before you do any of these things, top of your list should be pacifying Pachak Pitta and Ranjak Pitta. Both Pitta subdoshas or functions of the fire element in our bodies that will most certainly go out of balance by the end of Summer. By the end of Summer, due to the heat in the environment and within our bodies, we end up craving and indulging in cold, sugary, heavy delectable sweets that further aggravate pachak and in turn, ranjak pitta. Sometimes there just is not a way around things. We have to go through them. But we can always minimize the imbalances and put the train back on track! Here are 2 easy, delicious, and wonder-working recipes with Vaidya’s Herbal-Memory Nectar drops. These drops carry the “memory” or “intelligence” of the herbs, not the actual physical molecule, hence their name. They are a gentle whisper that travel fast and deep into tissues not putting a strain on the stomach or the liver. Hence: they are perfect for this time of year!
Try these drop recipes and let us know how you like them. We love to hear your feedback. And anything else you can think of to help you relax as the temperatures drop and your body re-adjusts to the colder weather and the upcoming Autumn season. But first, start by taking a break this Labor-day weekend before embarking on the last quarter of this year!
Wishing one and all a restful long weekend… Namaste!

Cellulite is very hard to get rid of, because we have not really understood what it is and how it comes to be in the first place! Vaidya Mishra gave us full insight into this phenomenon that ails mostly women, and in addition he formulated unique effective ayurvedic creams that address the mechanism of adipose or fat tissue malfunctioning and accumulation. Read more below to find out how.
CELLULITE
&
WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT
Ayurveda has a deep understanding of the causes of cellulite as well as how to manage it. At the deepest level it is said that the vibrational energy is not received through the body’s nadis and marma-s, the body’s vibrational centers which receive and distribute the flow of prana, or life energy. And if the vibrational energy is not received and circulating, then the process of cellulite formation will begin. It is also important that the three doshas, vata, pitta and kapha are balanced, as well as their subdoshas, which are various areas around the body that these doshas control. Please read my book, “Healing the Thyroid With Ayurveda” for a more thorough explanation of the vibrational and physical channels, prana, vata, pitta, kapha and their subdoshas and what they control.

A good diet is necessary for optimal fat metabolism, but sometimes we also need local herbal infusion and transdermal application. This unique SVA formulation contains famous ayurvedic herbs such as Guggulu, Gymnema, Punarnava, and the most famous of them all: Lodhra.
Roll-onto cellulite-ridden areas of your body, or just areas with some fat accumulation. Couple the use of the roll-on with a good SVA diet and regular exercise and watch your fat melt away!
Ingredients:
“Fat Formula Synergy” (Vaidya Mishra’s proprietary blend), with Guggul (Commiphora wightii), Gymnema sylvestre, Punarnava (Boerhaavia diffusa), Hibiscus diffusus, Lodhra (Symplocos Racemosa), Grapefruit and Sweet Orange in distilled water with Vegetable Glycerine, Beeswax and Jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis) oil.
So first off we need to make sure the vibrational channels are functioning properly because they control the body’s physical channels, which carry all the bodily fluids such as blood, lymph, sweat, tears, food, etc. And then at the same time we need to keep the doshas and subdoshas balanced.
Next, we must look at digestion: if it isn’t working properly toxins, known as ama (partially digested food which clogs the body’s physical channels) and ama visha (which results from the ama rotting and fermenting and turning into a hot inflammatory acidic toxin) can deposit and accumulate under the skin in the muscles, fat and fascia which is one of the main causative factors in cellulite formation. So to prevent cellulite we must address and fix the patient’s digestion to prevent the toxins from forming and depositing into these tissues.
We must also learn various ways to open up the fascia — the network of fibers, also known as connective tissue, through which the prana and other fluids flow. If our fascia gets stuck and congested, the prana and fluids can’t flow properly, resulting in stagnation in both the physical and vibrational channels, allowing toxins to deposit which create cellulite in specific areas around the body.
We also have to see how clean the 7 tissues are: the blood plasma, blood, muscle, fat, bone, bone marrow and reproductive fluids. Toxins held in these 7 tissues contribute to the toxins being held in the 7 layers of the skin. So we have to teach the patient how to keep these 7 tissues clean. For example, there are several processed foods and chemicals which can create toxicity in the blood plasma and blood; poor quality protein causes toxins to be deposited in the muscle tissue (like processed meats, heavy red meats, many of the protein powders currently on the market and leftover proteins which have oxidized, for example); bad fats such as vegetable oils (which cause inflammation in the fat tissue), bad salt (which causes retention of both toxins and fluid in the blood and skin). Poor quality sugars can also trigger cellulite formation, as well as heavy, channel-clogging foods and leftovers. We have specific herbs, teas and dietary recommendations to keep each of the 7 tissues clean.
Even mental and emotional stress can cause toxins to form in the blood, which also contributes to cellulite formation.
Poor circulation is another contributing factor due to a sedentary lifestyle resulting in slow metabolism and accumulation of toxins in certain body parts due to lack of movement. So we must instruct the patient on the best type of exercise for their body type.
Hormonal imbalances can also form cellulite since the hormonal system especially impacts the hips, buttocks and thighs. Here again, we have many herbs and dietary and daily routine recommendations to offer our patients to balance out their hormones.

And, this is not fair, but cellulite formation is rarely found in men since the connective tissue is arranged in a criss-cross pattern which keeps their fat layer from expanding, which prevents the superficial puckered appearance of the skin seen in women’s cellulite deposits. Women’s connective tissue is more perpendicular allowing cellulite to form more easily.
My teacher and mentor, Vaidya Rama Kant Mishra’s specialty was dermatology. Treating cellulite was the last course he gave to his doctors and lay people before his untimely passing in 2017. Thanks to his genius in treating all skin conditions, he left us with a 4-step approach to treat cellulite. The first step is to massage the cellulite with a specific type of raw silk glove, which will break down the toxins stuck in the fascia and at the same time allowing more circulation and movement to open up the flow of both the vibrational and physical channels to allow the stagnant prana and physical toxins to move out.
He then made various transdermal creams to be placed directly onto the areas affected by the cellulite. The first cream opens the channels to the affected areas so those areas can be detoxified and nourished. The second cream creates new collagen synthesis to aid in restoring the skin health by tightening up the areas of cellulite and sagging skin. And the third cream restores the fitness and elasticity to the fascia. The approach also re-enlivens the skin, giving it a healthy glow.
When we combine this with proper diet, daily routine and cleansing techniques we have great success in both preventing and treating cellulite.
So you can see from this discussion that in order to properly treat not only cellulite, but any disease process in the body, we need to take a greater perspective on the problem and not just treat the most superficial symptom. In the case of cellulite we want to make sure we don’t just address the skin and fascia, but instead look deeper to see why toxins are forming in the first place which will then get deposited into the various layers of the skin and fascia forming the cellulite.
I hope this information helps you to understand how to always step back, look at the health problem from the deepest perspective possible, thinking outside the box, so you can properly treat these problems at their various root causes.
