    Is it ok to cook yogurt as mentioned in gluten free bread patties recipe? Wont it destroy the friendly bacteria?

Dear Pavithra: yes, it is OK to use yoghurt to cook the gluten free bread recipes, and yes, you are right, it will kill the friendly bacteria in the yoghurt, but we use yoghurt in this recipe not for its benefits of the friendly bacteria but because we want the bread to be lighter and moist. So yoghurt is used for a different purpose. If you need to eat yoghurt for the friendly bacteria content you should use lassi or fresh home-made yoghurt. This bread will not replace the intake of yoghurt for friendly bacteria content. Thank you for your question.
