Did you know that current scientific research on EMF toxicity is inconclusive? That the consensus amongst “experts” is that “despite extensive research, to date there is no evidence to conclude that exposure to low level electromagnetic fields is harmful to human health”…Surprised? If you’re still not convinced you go to the World Health Organization website and do a search, this is what you will get: “Based on a recent in-depth review of the scientific literature, the WHO concluded that current evidence does not confirm the existence of any health consequences from exposure to low level electromagnetic fields. However, some gaps in knowledge about biological effects exist and need further research.” (source link here). What are some of the possible effects and symptoms of overexposure to EMF? Reported symptoms include “headaches, anxiety, suicide and depression, nausea, fatigue and loss of libido. To date, scientific evidence does not support a link between these symptoms and exposure to electromagnetic fields. At least some of these health problems may be caused by noise or other factors in the environment, or by anxiety related to the presence of new technologies.” But we should know by now, and unless we stick with science blindly, recalls and recanting are matter of fact – that’s why it’s called research!
As new findings surface, scientists revisit their conclusions. Vaidya Mishra said it best, he used to chuckle and say: there have been no recalls in Ayurveda for the past several thousand years! Because the knowledge was not gathered through limited sensory exploration and limited devices – but that’s an altogether different topic. In SV Ayurveda, we know that EMF can cause a wide panoply of health imbalances – Vaidya Mishra explained and demonstrated how too much electricity and overexposure to electric devices can cause more harm than good, specially if we do not counterbalance with remedial ayurvedic protocols. With SV Ayurveda, you can understand what EMF actually is, from the ayurvedic perspective, and what you can do about it – in terms of shielding yourself through different options, but also increasing prana through diet, lifestyle, and additional balancing measures. Find out the full protocol.

Here is what Henry has to say about the current EMF scene!
“We Are Electrical Beings!
Billions of electrical functions are running every second throughout our body. Our cells have an electrical potential (voltage) with measurable current flow within the fibers of our nerves.
* Electrocardiograms measure the electrical processes of the heart in the millivolt range.
* Electro-encephalograms measure the brain processes in the even more sensitive microvolt range.
* Cardiac pacemakers generate, with one millivolt, electricity which assists in the stimulation of the heart muscle.
* Medicine has defined the time of death by the end of electrical energy in the brain.
* There is no life without electric voltages. All our billions of cells are producing more than 100,000 biophysical and biochemical functions per second.
* It is now believed that low frequency electromagnetic exposure disrupts the subtle electrical communication systems within our cells, while higher frequencies disrupt cellular structural bonds.
* Individual levels of sensitivity to these fields vary, but human health problems fall into two equally concerning categories:
2) The production and proliferation of cells (embryos, healing, and cancer).
* Thousands of Scientific peer-reviewed studies show that even low level EMR exposures affect not only the health of our brains but also the integrity of our genomes and our ability to produce healthy offspring. –> https://bioinitiative.org

Grief, sorrow, stress, they are all part and parcel of the experience of life on earth. Did you know that even though we may feel like it is only happening to us nowadays in unprecedented measures and resulting in all kinds of new ailments and dis-eases, Ayurveda addressed it thousands of years ago AND gave us tools to deal with it and heal from it. Tools above and beyond endless year-after-year sessions with psychotherapists and psychoanalysts; or chemical drugs; or other medical un-natural interventions… Vaidya Mishra taught us that in ancient times, Vaidya-s (men who had “total knowledge” and understood the deepest secrets of creation and the workings of the human body and mind), and Guru-s (Vedic spiritual advisors and guides), filled the much needed role that modern psychoanalysts and therapists occupy nowadays. They offered not only wisdom, but guidance AND healing.
This aspect of the ancient vedic teachings is not so prominent anymore, and we may not call up a guru or a vaidya for help when experiencing grief or trauma. Perhaps things will start to change slowly, as many realize that the modern “discovery” of talk therapy is many a times not only “useless” but can be actually quite harmful and more traumatizing than the original trauma! “Talk Therapy” – the Freudian discovery that led to psychoanalytic theoretical therapy – reactivates and resurfaces suppressed traumas and may thus provide some unexpected relief and perspective; however, it is unable to heal or address them in a way that restores balance to the individual in an integral manner. In fact, more than often more harm and hurt is caused rather than restorative healing. It is an anecdotal truth that psychotherapists and psychoanalysts were interviewed and asked to provide the number of individuals they had helped cure, and 99% said: “ZERO, NONE!” They had cured none. But with Ayurveda we have a completely Different scenario!
Rose Carol – MA, LPC, Certified SVAyurveda Educator, had the great fortune of studying not only Ayurveda but also the fundamentals of Sattva Vijaya with Vaidya Mishra one-on-one. A licensed graduate in Psychology, she combines her modern studies with the ancient vedic teachings that Vaidya Mishra made available to her. In her own words: “That which we put our attention on grows.” When we have the attention of an enlightened sage like Vaidya, then we feel better just being with them. Really for me, sitting in his presence was simply enough for my own healing to happen.”
Ayurveda offers us simple and natural and therefore even poetic remedies that soothe the heart and mind!
For this Valentine’s day, perhaps, instead of looking for love in and through others, we can start with our selves and own hearts… Loving oneself is the foundation for all healthy relationships with family, friends, and better-halves… Here is a beautiful opportunity to study with Rose Carol and have direct access to Vaidya Mishra’s Sattva Vijaya teachings through her.

Did you know that anything you put into your mouth is absorbed immediately and shows up in your blood within 60 seconds? The mucus lining in our mouth is a thin barrier rich with blood vessels that can thus absorb anything – good or bad – within seconds. In modern science this is called “transmucosal digestion.” Transmucosal digestion is fast an effective because it bypasses the digestive system – stomach and liver – and circulates all over your body (and brain) within seconds!
This delivery route was well known in the millennial science of Ayurveda. In Ayurveda we not only learn to be careful about what we put in our mouths, but we also learn about what can help with oral and overall health through herbs and plants.
Vaidya RK Mishra not only explained how it is possible to have toxin-free 100% natural ayurvedic oral care, but he also had to formulate it for his clients, because what was available was just not good enough 15 years ago. Nor is it even today…
He explained how, in ancient India, daily oral care was maintained by chewing or sucking on twigs or leaves of specific plants, such as: Neem (Azadirachta indica); Khadir (Acacia nilotica); Karanj (Pongamia glabra). These herbs not only served like a brush scraping away plaque, but the fresh juice from the twig or the leaf also cleaned and protected against bacteria. In addition, home-made herbal tooth powders were also used. For tongue scraping, stems of specific plants were used. For flossing, the Neem leaf stem was used. Toothaches were treated with clove or clove leaf oil. A mixture of herbal oils was used for gargling morning and evening. Gum infection or gingivitis was addressed with an infusion of Neem leaf, Gymnema, Licorice, and Clove leaf.
During his studies at the Ayurvedic college, Vaidya Mishra also found ample scientific evidence supporting the oral care wisdom of ancient Ayurvedic texts. Not only do Neem, Karanj, Babool, Shaal, or Sakura have tremendous properties to support dental health, but they also support the health of the entire body, AND, here is the best part: WITHOUT any side-effects!
Vaidya Mishra explained: “The great seers of Ayurveda knew that the oral mucosa could absorb the medicinal properties of herbs and deliver them to the organs and organ systems in our body efficiently and immediately. In fact, did you know that dental care can be designed and used to address overall physical ailments? My father, Vaidya Kameshwar Mishra, once healed a poor student with a liver ailment by recommending that he brush his teeth with a fresh stick of the Guduchi plant every morning.
After moving to Europe and later to the United States in 1994, I began to notice that people have far more dental health issues here than in my native village in India. I attributed this to many factors: not only does the modern western routine and diet lack the plants and herbs of ayurvedic oral-care; even clean fresh air and fresh spring water are scarce. These, in addition to a fresh healthy diet, play a central role in optimal dental health. To compound the problem, most toothpastes, even those with a label that reads “all natural,” contain chemicals such as SLS, Parabens, or Fluoride. This inspired me to formulate authentic Ayurvedic products by using only organic (and/or wild-crafted) herbs and 100% natural pranic ayurvedic preservation. Try and see for yourself how they can help your oral health! Ayurvedic products should be rich in physical and vibrational prana, capable of healing AND nourishing the oral cavity, as well as rejuvenating the entire physiology. Namaste!” — Vaidya RK Mishra

Morning Brews to Start Your Day Right – 10 % Off This Week
This is usually the time of year when, along with all kinds of new resolutions and beginnings, we all also try to lose some extra holiday pounds! All the delicious family meals and get togethers where we indulged just because we “deserved” a break and a reward! And this is ALSO the time of year where all attempts at weight loss and body reset FAIL, and miserably so! Why? The answer is very simple.
According to Shaka Vansiya Ayurveda, Winter is the best season to eat! This is the time when, because of cooler temperatures, our physical channels, or shrotas, are shrunk, trapping our digestive fire, pachak agni, as well as the agni in our tissues or dhatus, in location. This sharpens our agni and our appetite, making us crave AND LITERALLY NEED heavy nourishing meals. Trying to reduce calories, or eat light, or cut back on rich food items, will only backfire. What can happen? Well, for one, you will increase your cravings, and with cravings, it is hard to control a diet. You will end up over-eating and regretting even more… So: let’s repeat this again – Winter is the worst time to detox or lost weight. And reversely: this is the best time to keep eating! You got some extra pounds that are making your uncomfortable? No worries, Spring is just around the corner, and you can then adopt a whole new diet and routine to support your body’s natural “automatic” detox. Trust the precepts of this timeless ancient science that teaches us to live in accordance with the laws of Nature. For in truth, nothing else matters much, except staying aligned with Mother Nature and the flow of time through the seasons.
However, if you do feel like your metabolism is somewhat overwhelmed because you are craving AND consuming rich heavy meals -as you now know you should be – Vaidya gave us wonderful herbal brews that help support digestion in the stomach and the tissues. Amongst these, his Gymnema Brew is a best-seller. This delicious blend’s primary ingredient as the name suggest is Gymnema. In Hindi it is also known as “gur-mar” that literally translates into “sugar-killer!” It literally processes any all sugar molecules so they are transformed into energy, rather than left to roam around and transform into fat molecules. It also help with fat metabolism, so whatever you eat can be transformed into energy and also nourish your bone tissue.
You can drink a cup of Gymnema Brew after a rich meal, or that favorite extra slice of dessert; or you can even start your morning with it, to jump-start your digestive fire. It tastes, looks, smells like coffee but has zero caffeine. Instead it will energize you by giving your metabolism a boost. Start your day or end your day with it. And let us know how you liked it! Or explore our other unique SVA teas. And stay tuned for more tips about detox in our upcoming issues! Happy new year, and let’s keep it happy throughout by staying aligned with the flow of the seasons. Namaste!

Samadhi Marma – as taught by Vaidya Mishra – is a simple 5 minute technique that you can practice anytime of day to invite more prana in your body and mind. It will help you regain “control” of life! It is an integral part of the ancient science of Ayurveda, and specifically of Marma therapy – the healing knowledge of energetic flow in the body.
Our bodies run on cosmic energy – PRANA – that flows through us every second of our lives. When, due to environmental stressors as well other factors such as diet, overuse or misuse of our senses, our bodies become imbalanced, then the flow of prana gets mitigated. Depending on our body’s propensity, prana may flow less in some or other areas – everybody is unique! This is why the ancient healers could heal WITHOUT herbs – just by harnessing the flow of prana to specific areas.
Vaidya Mishra has re-enlivened this powerful knowledge for us and has presented it in a practical easy way.
The Samadhi Course teaches how to harness the power of Prana in 5 minutes.

Vaidya Mishra also made some ayurvedic herbal remedies that help restore the flow of prana by addressing the shrotas (physical channels) and nadis (vibrational channels). Choose between the transdermal cream or roll-on, or the spray, or the Nectar drops – add 3-5 drops in a glass of 10oz of water and breeeeeathe!
ADD 3 DROPS OF Prana Balance Herbal-Memory Nectar TO A GLASS OF 10 oz SPRING WATER
Calms and Focuses the Mind
Prana Vata is the subdosha of vata seated in the head which, in its balanced state, helps us to think clearly and use our sense organs properly. Vaidya Mishra says that one reason we call this subdosha prana vata is because most of the reception of universal prana happens in the head. In a real sense, prana vata is the master prana of the body. Thus, it’s imperative to keep prana vata steady and calm, yet alert and focused.
Prana Balance Herbal-Memory Nectar contains several herbs that support prana vata. These herbs include both types of brahmi – bacopa monnieri and gotu kola. The main prabhava of these herbs (specific ultimate effect) is medhya (good for the mind). Whenever you find your mind racing, feeling stressed, or unfocused, bring it back to balance with Prana Balance Herbal-Memory Nectar.
Additional ingredient-Wise Properties and Actions
Ashwagandha is a famous adaptogenic herb that strengthens the nervous system and makes us better able to handle stress.
Jatamansihelps calm and steady the mind without heating the physiology.
Peppermint allows prana vata to flow unobstructed by gently opening the channels of the mind and brain.
Coriander helps cool the physiology and binds acidic toxins in the blood, which may be agitating the mind. It also eases in more soma – the lunar, cooling vibration that stabilizes the physiology and the mind.
“Prana Balance” (Vaidya Mishra’s proprietary herbal blend) above ingredients are in a kosher Vegetable glycerine base. 100% sugar and fat free.

Nothing can help or cure us unless our digestive system is working optimally; reversely: nothing can ail us when our digestive system is working optimally! Ayurveda gives us beautiful details about how we can accomplish this. The details are beautiful because they restore our connection to Nature and its incredible complex detailed structures. For example: Ayurveda teaches us why it is important to Eat at certain times and fast at other times; eat specific things at specific times and avoid those same things at other times; eat with attention on the food; eat pranic food; eat foods prepared a certain way; etc – you get the idea!
In this light, Vaidya Mishra not only shared amazing recipes with us but he also taught us all those little details that make a world of a difference for more balance and bliss! The knowledge he shared with us was not only sublime and beautiful but it was also enlightening… So many would adopt new structures and routines in their diet, along with recipes, and sure enough, they would contact him back saying how not only their mind-set had shifted, but how their practice of yoga and meditation had improved tremendously AFTER they adopted SVA dietary guidelines and recipes.
Vaidya Mishra gave us so many delicious spice blends to use in the kitchen, specially the Mom’s Masala – a-ready-to-use pre-toasted blend of 20 herbs and spices that you can sprinkle on your food (no cooking needed) or even in your drinks (lime water, lassi, etc) or on top of fruit. If you have not tried them all out, you can order our rosewood sampler box to get a taste of each one.
But in case you are interested in learning more about food being your primary medicine, we now have available a course Vaidya taught in 2008 in Florida. Scroll down to see the content of the course. If you would like to sign up, click on the image below or here

Yakrit, the Sanskrit term for the ‘liver,’ literally means ‘where every process happens.’ The liver – the largest organ in our bodies – carries out hundreds of actions, primarily detoxifying and creating new blood; filtering out toxins/chemicals; building immunity. But did you know that it also has an amazing capacity to regenerate itself? Without the liver we wouldn’t be able to transform food into energy, by breaking down fats and proteins. Here are some of the liver’s most vital functions:
Produces fresh blood AND cleans toxins out of the blood: the many cells of the liver, known as hepatocytes, accept and filter this blood. They act as little sorting centers, determining which nutrients should be processed, what should be stored, what should be eliminated via the stool, what should go back to the blood; it also gets rid of old red blood cells; the liver thus regulates/maintains healthy amount of blood in the body;
Produces bile, a fluid that helps the body digest (break down) fat: the liver stores fat-soluble vitamins as well as minerals such as copper and iron, releasing them when the body needs them. It also helps to break down fats in a person’s diet: it either metabolizes fats or releases them as energy. The liver produces an estimated 800 to 1000 ml of bile each day. This bile flows into the small intestine where the fat gets broken down and absorbed – extra bile is stored in the gallbladder.
As if these functions weren’t enough, the liver also plays a major role in the following:
Metabolizes proteins and carbohydrates so they turn into energy and your body can use them;
Creates immune system factors that help fight against infection;
Create proteins responsible for blood clotting – otherwise we would bleed to death!
Breaks down old and damaged red blood cell;
Balances energy metabolism by converting glycogen to glucose and storing extra glucose by converting it to glycogen. Glycogen is a form of glucose that your body stores mainly in your liver and muscles. Your body needs carbohydrates from the food you eat to form glucose and glycogen.
Makes toxins less harmful to the body and removes them/detoxifies the bloodstream
So you can see how and when, for any reason, the “intelligence” of the liver gets compromised, different kinds of dis-ease may emerge. A compromised liver can mean compromised health on many levels…
In Shaka Vanshiya Ayurveda, we pay special attention to making sure the liver does not get “cranky” – as Vaidya Mishra would jokingly explain. Having taken the pulse of thousands of people who had “cranky hot livers,” he put together a gentle yet effective protocol to help cool things off and optimize its functions.
Learn How to Care for the Liver – from the SV Ayurveda Perspective
In this online course you will find 12 ½ hours of in-depth SV Ayurveda knowledge on how to care for the liver. Taught live at Arsha Vidya Gurukulam (Saylorsburg, PA), Vaidya Mishra takes us on a journey inside the yakrit (liver) – the body’s dynamic powerhouse. Teaching from the ancient sutras & the perspective of medical science, he elaborates the functions of the liver and all the etiological factors impacting it. These factors include diet and digestion; AS WELL AS emotions; PLUS environmental toxins; EMFs; and synthetic ingredients in most personal-care products. Vaidya Mishra also teaches us how to keep the liver healthy and manage its disorders through food, herbs, marma therapy, detoxification, rejuvenation procedures, and vibrational medicine, including the use of mantras (primordial sounds with specific known effects).

Produces fresh blood AND cleans toxins out of the blood: the many cells of the liver, known as hepatocytes, accept and filter this blood. They act as little sorting centers, determining which nutrients should be processed, what should be stored, what should be eliminated via the stool, what should go back to the blood; it also gets rid of old red blood cells; the liver thus regulates/maintains healthy amount of blood in the body;
Metabolizes proteins and carbohydrates so they turn into energy and your body can use them;
Creates immune system factors that help fight against infection;
Create proteins responsible for blood clotting – otherwise we would bleed to death!
Breaks down old and damaged red blood cell;
